Fondamenta Madonna Dell Orto 3500, Venice - Map
"Really nice hotel"
Really enjoyable stay! The Hotel is away from the main square so makes for a quiet night sleep. The room was clean and overlooked the canal. On our last night we ate at the hotel, the food was really good if a little on the expensive side. The staff were friendly and helpful. The curtesy watertaxi to San marco square and Murano added to our experience.

"Close to all San Marcos and Venice have to offer "
We had a very pleasant 4 night stay at the PB in late March. Weather was hit and miss so it was nice that the hotel was in a good location close to many restaurants and shopping and also had a good bar. In particular our bartender Giampaolo was a great host to us. When we were looking for a real Venice "authentic" pub and restaurant, he literally closed the bar temporarily and walked us over to it, and ensured that we got a table. Outstanding customer service! The rest of the hotel staff was equally great. We were originally given a handicap accessible room and they accommodated bumping us up to a bigger room th next night which was nice. Overall we would stay at the Palace again!

Giudecca 33, Venice - Map
"Excellent hotel on quiet island."
We found that being on the island of Giudecca we could get away from the busy yet beautiful island of Venice. The hotel runs a shuttle boat every 30 minutes from 10:00am until midnight which we found invaluable. It only takse about 3 minutes and you arrive only a short distance from St. Marks square. Although rated 5 star we felt the facilities were not up to this standard when compared with other 5 star hotels we have stayed at. There was no swimming pool and the Jacuzzi and sauna which was available had a charge of 50 Euros for 2 hours. However, a great bonus is that this hotel has a large garden and lawns where you can peacefully relax. The room which was not in the main building was quite good and kept very clean. The housekeeping was very good although it did take three attempts to get reception to replace the room hair dryer which had gone missing. The staff were excellent and the breakfast very good. The only evening meal we had at the hotel was outstanding. Although the most expensive meal of our six day stay it was excellent value for money. Had we realised how good it was I am sure we would have had at least one more meal there.

"Fantastic hotel"
We stayed here for 8 nights and returned just yesterday. The staff were great and very helpful, especially Nicholas. They arrange boat trips from right outside the hotel to Murano, which I would recommend. The hotel was spotless, breakfasts were great and we didn't want to leave! We will definitely return.

"Loved the location and the style of the hotel."
I took my 2 daughters as it was for my youngest 21st Birthday. The hotel put strawberries dipped in chocolate in the room - nice touch. Loved the pool on the roof and having breakfast outside was most enjoyable.

"Lovely hotel in excellent location"
The hotel was very nice in a excellent location and all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The only negative comment I have are that some things were very over priced. I realize it was a 5* hotel and because of that you must expect 5* prices but I did feel €18 euros for two coffees was a bit much. We also had two drinks from the downstairs bar on the first evening, one Barcardi and Lemonade and one Gin and Tonic which seemed very weak as you could hardly taste the alcohol and for that we paid €46, very very overpriced. I am not a novice to 5* prices as I used to work in one of the biggest 5* hotel chains so I do have something to compare with.
