Upper Town, located mostly within the walls of Old Quebec, occupies the crest of Cap Diamant and overlooks the Saint Lawrence River. Most buildings are at least 100 years old and made of granite in similar styles. Great Lakes freighters and ferries can be seen from Terrasse Dufferin, a pedestrian promenade. Other Upper Town attractions include Château Frontenac and Place d'Armes.
