“Does the job”
There is an old section and a new section in this hotel, make sure to ask for a room in the newer section. It is located in a suburb of the city far from the action and bus are kinda are to figure. Not recommended if you don't have a car. Nice pool and jacuzzi but their sauna is not working.
“Just fine”
we stayed one night. Good lodging @ good price.
“Perfect for our budget!”
The staff was wonderful and for a couple that do not speak any French they were wonderfully helpful! Our room was clean and comfortable. Sure... there was a little bit of peeling wallpaper in the bathroom... big deal! The jets in the whirlpool bath were wonderful. I would stay there again and recommend it to others.
“Low Average”
Although we were happy to have a nice king size bed, we were put off by the diagonal half wall of clear glass that allowed a clear view into the bathroom. Closing the thin shower curtain was our only attempt at some privacy when using the toilet. Having privacy while using the shower was a different story since there was no curtain to block it off. Not to mention how your roommate felt if you had to use the facilities during the night & needed to turn on the light. The bathroom seemed to be the biggest issue, it was clean but never seemed to have enough towels to absorb the water that puddled around the jacuzzi tub/shower. It was very poorly designed. I guess the worst part was on our 2nd night when the ceiling in our shower started leaking. It was obvious that this happened on a regular basis as the ceiling had a crack & water stain. When we called the front desk they said they would send someone to check it. After an hour I called again & was told they didn't have maint. there during the evening we would have to wait til the next day. The person I spoke to was unconcerned with the issue or how we felt about it. I was very put off with the lack of customer satisfaction & after further prompting was put me through to a mgr who eventually offered to move us. We declined fearing the other room might offer the same issues since our traveling campanions shower ceiling had the same crack/stain and see through wall with the exception that their glass was frosted
“Fulfilled all our needs!”
The Ambassadeur was exactly what we needed. The rooms were excellent, the WiFi easy to access, the staff courteus and helpful, and 10 minutes on the highway from all the historic sites. There was no breakfast included but there is an excellent breakfast to be had across the street at the Normandin. We didn't swim but there is a beautiful pool/spa indoors that looked very inviting. We would definitely stay there again and will recommend the Ambassadeur to our friends. I don't know where your rating comes from but reading the guest comments is what made us decide to stay there and credit them more than the numerical ratings.
“Like it!!!”
I enjoyed the pool area very much. It provides a comfy area for us to take a break after the activities during the day.
“location”
The address was incorrect. The hotel is actually 321 Ste. Anne not 3401. When we couldn't find it we went into garmin and found the correct address. Girl at front desk said this was a common problem with finding the location.
“Not too bad!!!”
It was not a bad experience overall.
“Good value and good location”
Hotel was a bit old but generally confortable. Kids loved the indoor pool and Jacuzzi. Well located for diner style restarants, have to drive into the old city for local fare. Plenty of parking and good value for money.
“decent hotel”
nothing to complain about. indoor pool is a plus.
