“You get what you pay for”
I had a room with clean bed linen but a room in need of being overhauled. Carpets were dirty along the margins, heating was not satisfactory in the evening, room was warm by morning (2degrees C outside). A huge pool area with rain forest ambiance. A plus for someone who likes to lounge around a pool. (chlorine odor follows you in the lobby). Not within walking distance of anything interesting, car is a must. The area on Boul. Saint Foy is behind the large Laval University campus with no attractions, restaurants or bars. The hotel restaurant is a greek style with brochettes as their speciality. Bring your own wine. Not convenient for the travelling public.
“Good price for quality”
While this hotel may not be in the heart of the action in the old town, it is close enough to sites and the hotel value is good for the room quality. The only drawback was there is no fan in the bathroom to draw the humidity out. This hotel is very, very humid due to their indoor pools and tropical theme. Elevators come out overlooking the "tropics" and it is very hot and damp. Doorways were often left open so the humidity would travel everywhere in room hallways. After three nights there, our clothes were all damp and they got smelly two weeks later at the end of our trip. That was really poor planning on the hotel part when they did their renovations.
“nice stay in Quebec”
Only setback is that if you book a trip there, you are in front of the stadium of the college football team and it took me 30 mins in my car to travel a few lights to the hotel. Its only one game every 2 weeks in the fall but it was during my stay
“Pleasantly surprised!”
Phenomenal amenities!!!
“Stay away, what a dump!”
It is an old motel with exterior entrances that have been converted to interior doors. The rooms are like dormatories for college students that have no standards of style or cleanliness. The rooms are dated and the fridge is from the 50's. The hotel website only shows the front fascade which is newer and the pool. If they showed the rooms, nobody would stay there. For the cost, I would have preferred to stay at Best Western. Not impressed at all and would never recommend it or ever go back. What a dump!
“So-so room”
Location and staff were great, but room deficiencies included poor bathroom (no hooks for clothing, no shelfspace for toilettries, poor lighting and old towels), too few electrical outlets (3 extension cords in use), no place to sit except bed or desk chair, only one suitcase rack. We expected better in a 3-star hotel.
“great hotel”
all was great
“Comfortable and Clean”
This hotel is quite a distance from the areas we wanted to, visit particularly the old part of Quebec. We had a car and there was a parking lot for us to park in. The rooms had comfortable beds and everything was updated in the rooms. The rooms were cleaned daily. Ice is not provided on every floor and it was not labeled anywhere in the hotel where to get ice. There was also a coffee pot in the room with coffee which we used daily. They also provided robes. There was free wifi which was very nice. The rooms were quiet. It is also right across the street from the university. A real plus if you are visiting the campus. The people were kind and helpful at the front desk.
“good value”
Restaurant has no wines. Have to bring your own.
“not expensive”
hotel is ok free parking nice pool and fitness room
