“will definitely go back”

I picked this hotel on line, and that was a good choice. We were two couples, we booked two rooms, and were pleasantly surprised that they where next to each other. The hotel is near highways and restaurants, in a down town area. Nearby convenience store is open 24 hours. Public transportation is also near. It is clean with confortable beds and quality furnishing. Staff was cordial. restaurant can be pricey if you are on a budget. We had breakfast there, the food was good and the service was great. The rooms facing the streets may convey some traffic noise but not enough to disturb sleep. The lobby is small, so if you don't have any plan it is not likely you'll find it entertaining to sit there. Beside that I like the hotel. When I go back to Quebec I will stay there again.

Area recommendations
The Castle/hotel is a romantically historic place. Old Quebeck shops and restaurants. The Parlement bluiding.
When to go
I want in the fall, it was a little wendy, but summer will be the best tie to go.

If I may add to your suggestion of “when to go” I would say that since the different seasons are making the city look very different, it is interesting to visit it during spring, summer, fall and winter. As you recommended it, if you prefer warm weather, it will be a good idea to visit Quebec City during summer. You will then be able to enjoy the many activities of the city including the popular Summer Festival which is THE musical event not to be missed in Canada with over 300 shows in 11 days. It was a true pleasure to have you stay with us and I am sincerely happy to know that you will visit us again the next time you are in Quebec City. We look forward to it!

“Very Comfy Beds, House Keeping Staff Lazy”

I liked the valet service available but was not informed at the desk of any other parking available. The floor of the bathroom did not look as though it had be swept well enough. I always make the bed but the housekeeping staff didn't remake it. Housekeeping staff left dirty flatware on the table, and did not replace all the glasses. The location of our room was odd. The windows over looked the hotel restaurant and early in the morning you could hear the patrons of the restaurant. The room was very nice otherwise and the beds were very comfortable. They room was large and I was able to place all the baby furniture in the room with plenty of walking around room.

Area recommendations
The location of the hotel is good and the wholes city is beautiful, the closer to the Old City the better.

Bonjour, Thank you for your comments concerning your stay at the Best Western City Centre Quebec. I appreciate that you took the time to post them and hope you will accept my apologies for any inconvenience you experienced. I am disappointed we failed to give you the fine accommodations and services that you were expecting. Be assured that your comments were transmitted to the House Keeping Manager to ensure the situation you experienced do not happen again. Concerning the parking, free parking in Quebec City is precarious but our 20$ per night valet service provides a simple and secure place for your car with unlimited in an out. To avoid further costs related to parking, I strongly suggest travelers to visit the city by foot or bus, leaving their car in the hotel’s parking lot, since there is a toll to park cars in the whole downtown area. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience you experienced. I can guaranty you that every comment you gave me as been noted and I will take steps to ensure that the problems you experienced do not happen again. Sincerely yours,

On the other hand, I am sorry to read that our in house restaurant, Settimo Cielo!, did not exceed your expectations. The dinner menu offers a wide variety of pastas and pizzas to please all of our guests. Thanks to its unique mural, as well as to the soft Italian music, you can experience and indoor terrace all year long while having a delicious meal. “Good place to stay”

This was my first time in Quebec City, and this was a very good choice for a reasonably priced hotel. It is located within a short walk to the Old City attractions. It is uphill or up stairs, but there is an elevator that saves you from the stair climb. The room was very large compared to places I have stayed in the past. The beds were across the room from each other which gave the feel of seperate spaces for me and my mom. We were on the inside wall of the building which meant we faced the courtyard where the hotel restaurant is located. My only complaint here is that you can hear the dishes clattering as if you were in the restaurant and could clearly hear the diners talking and laughing. We didn't spend much time in the room, so this was only bothersome early in the morning-as I am a light sleeper. The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful. If they did not know the answer to a question they would research it until they did. There was no problem with communication as all the staff spoke English and didn't seem to mind that I know next to no French! I noticed a lot of previous guests were unhappy with the valet cost, but I felt that $20/day was a fair price to know my car was safe. There are several public garages in the immediate area as an alternative option. I did not eat in the restaurant or use the pool/jacuzzi, but loved that there were drink vending machines on each floor.

Area recommendations
Old Quebec for sure-we walked for over 10 hours on Saturday and didn't see everything, needed to return on Sunday to finish up. The area that surrounds the hotel had some interesting sites as well-including the largest church in the city.
When to go
We went in mid-Sept and it was beautiful, perfectly cool for walking around.
Getting around
mostly a walkable city, but we used the bus to get to a Botanical Garden about 25 minutes away from our hotel. It was easy to get the pass, easy to find the bus stop, and the return ride was just as stress free.

I am passing on your comments, knowing that it will serve as an inspiration to our staff to continue their efforts. It is always gratifying to know that our performance was effective and appreciated. I am grateful that you let us know of your satisfaction. I agree that to walk most places would be the most efficient way to visit downtown area. Considering that parking in downtown Quebec City is never free, leaving your car in our secured lots would be the most economical solution. Has you mentioned, since you have free in and out privileges with our valet service, you will always be able to ask for it if you need to travel out of the city center where you would not have to pay for parking. Concerning interior rooms overlooking on the atrium and on the in-house Settimo Cielo! restaurant, there are only 24 of them on our 180 rooms. Otherwise, we invite Expedia riders to note that it is always a pleasure four our front desk clerks to mark down our clients preferences concerning the view of the room upon reservation, check in or even upon check out in the offing of a future stay. We will always do our best to meet the demands of our guests. Again, thank you for a most complete review. Stayed in this hotel 6 months ago. Very satisfied. Came again yesterday with entire family. All of our rooms are again as good as I expected. One of us was impressed and went online and checked how much it costs. It's not very expensive but with 3 rooms it costs quite a lot. I'd be nice if we get some discount from the hotel. Oh well :)
