"Great hotel in the middle of a beautiful city. "
Great hotel. Good vibe. Bar closed a little early and the manager made it clear it was closing well before. Other Bar staff were great though.

"Great place to Stay!"
We loved staying at the Bay Street Inn - loved the luxurious room. It was so nice to have a lovely sitting area. We had lemonade in the lobby! The staff was excellent - friendly and helpful. There was a very large pair of men's underwear somehow left under our bed and the housekeeping staff came in and immediately removed it and apologized many times. We loved being so close to the River Walk area and local restaurants.

"B-Historic and B-"Green""
This was a long weekend, two-night stay. I was looking for a hotel either in or within walking distance of the Savannah historic district; the B-Historic fit the bill perfectly. The hotel is located, literally, at the end of I-16 as it transitions into the city on Montgomery Street. That being said, the hotel is very quiet; our room fronted Montgomery Street and we never had an issue with traffic noise ...but then this was the weekend so things might be different on a weekday stay. The hotel is brand new and everything is up to snuff as far as its physical plant goes. The rooms are good-sized with high ceilings. The A/C unit works very well and is quiet. The only glitch I could see in our room was one of the wall-mounted swivel arm reading lamps had been force bent the wrong way. The reading lamp worked but needed to be replaced. There is a parking garage under the hotel and access to the across-the-street public parking facility (which is also new); you get a free access card for the public parking garage if that's where you're going to park. The breakfast buffet in the morning is an additional cost but you'd be silly not to engage in better fare (like Hueys on River St., Collins Quarter or Goose Feathers Cafe) which are relatively short walks from the hotel. Driving the historic district can definitely be a liability. With everything a relatively short walk from the hotel park the car, lace on the Nikes and B-"Green" as you B-Historic and explore Savannah. I'd come back.

"Fabulous place to stay in Savannah"
We recently stayed at Eliza Thompson House and can't recommend it and the staff highly enough. Excellent position in the historic area of Savannah, and Mel and Kelly were the most delightful of hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and the little extra touches such as the wine and cheese social, and the cake and coffee later in the evening were a nice way to meet the other guests. Our room was so lovely-the Admiral Turner room in the main house - was grandly appointed and so comfortable. Wifi was quick and complimentary which was good. We loved our stay in Savannah and would definitely recommend you stay at Eliza Thompson House.

"There's not much about this hotel that can be beat"
I'll run short on characters so I'll start with location. If you've never been to Savannah, you're probably trying to figure out where everything is and how to get there. There is River Street- right on the water, Bay Street, one block up, and then most other hotels are either within one more block, or further away towards the residential areas and Forsyth Park. River Street seems okay, but a bit crowded, a tad loud, and although Savannah is beautiful, its hard to get excited about the industrial river. Bay Street is even more busy, and is a main route for loud traffic. The Andaz sits a block removed from this, on a quiet one-way street. It borders a beautiful plaza with fountains and seating. It is also about as close as you can get to City Market without being on it. At night its a short walk to live music, open air dining, shopping and fun people watching. The Andaz is located in the best spot in the city, hands down. Now hotel basics: clean, modern, quiet. Despite being nearby the lively square, I never heard anything. My room directly overlooked the beautiful pool area, and I never heard anybody there either. The cold complimentary refreshments were a nice touch. Valet was always available, day and night, and very pleasant. I didn't use the gym, but gave it a tour and it is exceptionally well done for a hotel gym. Hotel guests appeared quite diverse, with some families, many young and middle-aged couples, and more than one girls getaway.
