Parking was available, and the B&B’s location is perfectly situated in the historic district so we never needed the car and were able to walk everywhere. We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Stephan Williams House. Beautiful property, great breakfast, spacious room, the whole house is full of incredible antiques and our host, Doc, was charming and knowledgeable. The B&B is in a perfect location, easy walking distance to most Savannah attractions. Bed was very comfortable with great linens. Really quiet and some nice outdoor spaces for a pre-dinner glass of wine and game of backgammon. What an amazing experience staying at the Stephen Williams House. This is a true B&B, with Doc as your host. He is a retired obstetrician and cares for his home and his guests the way I'm sure he cared for his patients and their newborns. He is the quintessential southern gentleman, oozing southern charm and hospitality with his lovely southern drawl. The breakfast is served by local college students who help Doc take care of his guests while he sits and shares local lore. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This property was built in the 1800s so it has plenty of history, memorabilia all around, beautiful artwork and antiques, etc. The only thing I would say is the room we were staying in, while it did have a portable A/C unit, was a bit warm as the unit didn't cool the room down enough at night, but we managed. It is also located in the heart of the historic district, which makes it a great place to start and end your day.
