“NICE HOTEL AND GOOD SERVICE”
THE HOTEL IS REALLY NICE, THE HAVE RENEWED THE ENTIRE HOTEL AND IT'S EXCELLENT, GREAT SIZE IN THE ROOM AN BATHROOM, AND IT IS IN A NICE NEIGHBORHOOD, JUST A CAR IS REALLY NEEDED TO HAVE AVAILABLE IF YOU WANT TO SIGHTSEEING AND SHOP COS IS A LITTLE FAR FROM SAN DIEGO'S DOWNTOWN, BUT IF YOU HAVE A CAR IS GREAT COS THEY DONT CHARGE PARKING LIKE IN HOTELS IN DOWNTOWN
“Wow - very nicely surprised”
This was one of the less expensive hotels and it more than exceeded my expectations. The room I was in was recently rennovated and was spacious with nice beds and linens. The staff were very responsive sending up a cork-screw within 5 minutes of calling for one. While the hotel is not close to beaches it is very accessible to freeways without being right next to one. It is located in a predominately residential and business office neighborhood with every restaurant chain you could want within 5 miles. You won't need them for breakfast however, as it serves a better-than-average buffet with plenty of food and including a protien (bacon, sausage, eggs), fresh fruit, waffles, pastries, multiple hot and cold drinks and juices and a decent coffee. Plus the setting was more restaurant-style rather than tables placed in a hallway. Nice holiday decor and fireplace added to the warm welcome in the lobby and you could always serve a fresh cup of coffee or get a cookie all day. With my stay, there were no add-on charges such as internet or parking which also made it nice. I would recommend this hotel.
“Expensive compared what they offer”
Pros: very good neighborhood, and the breakfast is amazing and very well organized, spacious room. Cons: the front desk lady was very impolite, she speaks very fast, and doesn't care if you understand or not, and when you ask her to repeat a question, she makes faces. The room is very old fashion, there was an scary noise from the corridor due to old fans and air conditioners. It was very expensive compared to what they offer. If you are for tourism in San Diego it is not well located.
“Not Impressed”
The service leaves a lot to be desired. The hallway carpets are old and stinky and the room furnishings are just OK. The only bright spot about the hotel is a good breakfast.
“Surprisingly nice hotel”
The pictures shown for this hotel were a bit misleading. When I saw them I thought the room would be really small but I was pleasantly surprised. There was a couch and TV that was separate from the bedroom. The room was a good size for my 16 month old boy to run around in. Being in the business district the hotel was very quiet. There were plenty of stores and shopping areas that were only a short drive away. Overall I was very pleased and would definitely stay there again.
“The best stay in San Diego”
I have stayed downtown before, hostels, gaslamp district, near Sea World & this is the best stay that I've had there! Breakfast was so awesome, the only complaints that I have in this hotel is that there was only one waffle maker...not a big deal @ all! Just waited my turn. Oh, there was one other thing, the A/C unit took awhile to cool down the room, other than that, I didn't mind the 20 minute drive to Sea World or downtown San Diego. I would stay here again!!!
“nice hotel”
Picked this hotel because it was close to family members.
“Great hotel just outside of town”
Good price, good breakfast, free wifi, and free parking. About 15 minutes away from downtown San Diego. I'd stay there again.
“Great stay, Great Breakfast, Great overall value”
Good for the family. Loved the breakfast!
“Nice Stay”
Good and econimical good breakfast microwave and fridge in room
