“Great location and fun hotel”
I was in San Diego for a conference and the hotel is conveniently located just across the convention centre, at the edge of the Gaslamp district and one block from the stadium. Really hip atmosphere and good energy in the lobby. Packed lounge and pool deck bar Friday and Saturday nights for those who want to party. Excellent Japanese restaurant in Hotel. Good value and would definitely stay here again.
“Room was Awesome...except one thing”
The hotel was amazing...I was only disappointed because the refrigerator in our room was NOT cold! We called maintenance to have them fix it but then he said that was the set temperature for the refrigerator even though it wasnt even keeping our drink COLD. So we had to use trash cans full of ice instead, which was kind of a hassle =(
“Great Hotel”
Was very impressed with the decor and cleanliness of room.
“Loved it!”
We loved our stay at the Hard Rock Hotel. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the shower was great, too! I would absolutely recommend staying there and look forward to returning.
“In The Center of San Diego”
Situated in the center of downtown San Diego, right across from Petco Park, Hard Rock Hotel is the placae to stay. Hotel staff, from porters, front desk, conceirge, room service, and housekeepping were all extremely polite and informative. Would stay there agian in a heartbeat and at any Hard Rock Hotel.
“Will return”
Very convenient location, just a block from Padres Stadium, across the street from the train station and convention center, at the entrance to the Gaslamp District. Exceptional customer service and ample staff available at every turn. Secure hotel (need room key to access elevator and pool). Parking is steep ($30 a night) but valet service is quick and friendly. Lots of pillows (a plus). Modern amenities. Okay for older kids but pool is small and more of a bar than a family pool. Lobby gets busy Friday and Saturday when the clubs are rocking and a room key is required to get past security. Room service menu reflects same food available in all hotel restuarants so variety was lacking after a couple of days. Sweetwater Bar a great "hang" day or night. Gift shop wasn't all it could be (expected more apparel items) but overall an excellent experience. Will return again!
“Great Hotel”
The room was large and comfy. The entire place was fun, funky. My only complaint would be the check in/out desk area. It seemed to take quite some time to process people in and out and there didn't seem to be as many hotel staff as needed in that particular spot. Everywhere else the service was great and friendly. I would definitely stay there again and recommend the place to others.
“Can't Wait to go back”
Wonderful to stay there. Room was really nice. Food not that great except at Nobu. Everything was horribly over priced! Pool was extremely small. Overall we had a great time.
“Will Return Next Year!”
The Hard Rock Hotel made my first trip to San Diego very memorable. While I wouldn't recommend this for a young family, I think it is great for couples and groups. The staff was attentive and cheerful. The room was kept cleaned every day. The room service was fantastic and prompt. The shower was one of the best that I have ever experienced in a hotel and makes me wish my home one was like it. The location is great with the convention center and several attractions within walking distance. Yes, on event nights it gets crowded and loud, but the noise is quite tolerable within the hotel rooms. When there is a baseball game it can be difficult getting in and out as well, but that's to be expected. Yes, there is a charge for everything from the bottles of water to the very well stocked mini fridge. The prices are high, but the Hard Rock Hotel isn't advertising itself as a budget hotel. It is an experience, and it was a fantastic one.
“Chic but Warm!”
The Hard Rock was great! My only complaint was that I could not get the a/c in my room to cool properly until after the heat of the day had passed. I was there in late August and had a corner room with the sun beating down on both exterior walls all day; consequently, the room didn't get really comfortable until the eveing hours. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the atmosphere & the location - within walking distance of everything in the Gaslamp district. I would definitely stay there again!
