“Very Nice Stay!”

Wow, talk about great customer service. The staff at this hotel were one of the nicest that my wife and I have ever had. We were going to San Diego for a romantic getaway, and this hotel made accommodations that even 'fancier' hotels never make. They were friendly and courteous. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. They are very centrally located so everything in San Diego was only 15 minutes away. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. The surrounded area is a little bit 'corporate' - but that actually was really nice because it was super quite over the weekend and the buildings are all lit up at night.

“Nice hotel, good area, close drive to beach.”

We liked the hotel. It was clean and staff were friendly. The rooms were very small, but had options for adjoining rooms.

Area recommendations

Del Mar is great area for families. We enjoyed riding our bicycles through town and appreaciate the bike lanes. The bike lanes are not ideal for young children, because they are in the street. There were very limited biking paths by the water.

“would come back”

the room was almost perfect. we had a cozy room that felt like an apartment. the only downside was the blanket in the room. the blanket made it so hot and uncomfortable to sleep in. if we took the blanket off, it would be too cold even with the thermostat on 78. but other than that, i would definitely come back.

“Woodfin”

Woodfin hotel is a beautiful hotel. Very convinent to my corporate office. Very comfortable and luxerious. The dinning room was open late when I got in from traveling all day. Nice to be able to get a drink to relax. Room was very large and extremely comfortable. Staff very considerate and helpful.

“Beautiful stay.”

Our suite contained everything we needed. Kitchen, living room, bedroom & bath. Two televisions. Desk in living room & table in kitchen gave us each able work space. Exceptionally clean & comfortable. Easy check-out. Knowledgeable staff.

Area recommendations

Balboa Park is wonderful. Interesting architecture, museums, restaurants & beatiful gardens & grounds.

“Nice and clean rooms, subpar service”

As I mentioned above, the guy that was checking us in was a noobie, so I gave him some slack. But the lady that looked she was in charge wasn't very pleasant. She was not sincere about not finding our reservation on her computer, even after I had booked the reservation through Expedia a couple of weeks prior. She could have apologized and been a little bit nicer. And as I said above, the rooms were nice, spacious, and clean. One rude thing that happened though was the following morning when I had housekeeping banging on my door, even though I had the "DO NOT DISTURB" sign on my door! Completely rude! I would give this place a 2.5 out of 5!

“Great for relaxing”

This wasa perfect hotel for getting away from it all and just relaxing. Although it is in the middle of a business park there are many eateries and shopping in close proximity. Suite we got was excellent!

“Very pleasant stay”

I had to make a short notice reservation for a business trip and this hotel worked out well price and location wise. When I checked in everything was clean and quiet. There were no problems and it was a very comfortable stay. I would definitely stay there again in the future.

“Ok”

I thought it was going to be nicer because of the pictures but it was ok. The a/c made a very loud noise and when I called to have them check it their solution was to set the thermostat higher so it wouldn't turn on. It was warm so we ended up lowering it and dealing with the noise. I would stay again for the same price but I would make sure the a/c was working properly before I settling into the room. The staff was very helpful and the area is very quiet and nice.
