“Good value for the price I paid”
Had a good discount on the room and price include breakfast. Thankyou Expedia. Don't know why the fridge just cool enough to keep drinks chill but not cold enough to keep food from spoiling. Breakfast room is too crowded and long lineup to wait for the toasters.
“Not good...”
Hall way smell is so bad, Continental Breakfast is the worst Wi Fi is serviced in the hotel but the quality is so poor, I used my smart phone instead the hotel Wi Fi.
“Good value for families of 5 or 6”
Booking: Getting a room in Quebec city during the 2 weeks of construction holiday is very difficult at last minute. I have a family of 5 and the prospect of having to call every hotel to find a room that can fit us all was discouraging. I used Expedia for the first time and thanks to their search engine, I found the Quality Suites quickly. It was the only hotel within reasonable distance from the old Quebec that had vacancy. Room: The suite had two double beds in the bedroom, a living area with small table, pull-out sofa and a kitchette (sink, fridge, cupboards). The price was low compared to what we are used to pay, but the quality of the suite was also low. The decor/carpet were dated, the beds were not quality pillow tops but OK, the kitchette cupboards/drawers were empty (ie no dishes/ustensils/dish towel/etc), the two TVs were old, the bathroom appointment/soaps were below standard. But everything worked and the room was clean! Breakfast: The "free" continental breakfast was well below standard even when compared to Holiday Inn Express or Best Western. It was not self-serve which added to the congestion, the choices were very limited and the breakfast room was very very small. Location: The hotel is close to several chain restaurants and about 10-15 min drive from the old port where Cirque du Soleil Big Top is located. I would stay there again but it would not be my first choice.
“Affordable Hotel”
We stayed for 2 nights in Quality Suites Hotel, nice hotel with affordable price. Only 15 minutes from centre of Old Quebec, free parking, good things we can get good spot near by our room. You have to wake up early for breakfast, otherwise you will wait in long line up. The breakfast menu is standard, coffee, tea, bagel & bread. The bad thing from the hotel is the smoke smell in the hallway.
