Hilton Waikiki Beach

"Good hotel with good location."
The hotel was very nice and clean, with an outdoor pool on 10th floor. It is one short block from the beach and they provide beach towels. The only parking for the hotel is valet parking which is an extra charge per day. Plenty of places to eat and shop near by.

"Great place to stay central to everything"
We had a great week at the Ilima. The staff are very friendly and most helpful. They answered all out questions willingly. We had fun making the necklaces from the kukui nuts to make lovely leis. These lessons are provided free by the hotel. The hotel even stored our luggage for us when we returned to Hawaii and had a day to full in before our flight back home. Very close to markets and the Ross shop, not too far from the zoo - we walked there and handy to the beach, restaurants and buses. The local bus is only $2.50 per trip. we took the bus to Sealife Park and the outer beaches. Fantastic holiday

"Very close to the beach"
Room was clean but needed to remind housekeeping to clean it one day. Nice big lobby where you had to sit to get free wifi. Really needs to be free in every room.

"Location, location, location"
I chose this resort for it's proximity to the beach. It's a couple of minutes walk to Waikiki and other nearby beaches. There's an on-site restaurant, bar (with local beer on tap), business center and pool area with great amenities for beach-goers. I loved the open-air concept. Many reviews say this property is dated, and it's somewhat true. It's not like some of its newer, shinier cousins; but I didn't go to Hawaii to sit in the room. Some of the interiors could use a refresh but I didn't find anything wrong or out of order with my room. It was excellent value compared to the newer resorts on the beach -- where this resort is just across the street and much more affordable. I found it very clean, safe, and within walking distance to food, entertainment, transit and every other activity. It was a perfect choice that way. Employees were very friendly, particularly Katie, Angie, Romeo and Mike. I stayed a week and I'd stay here again.

The Kahala Hotel & Resort

Had a very nice stay here. Only negative experience were a couple of servers and the spa, which I found to be way over priced for the experience. First time I have every been rushed off the table 3 seconds after the end of the massage. Who makes their guests walk to and from the spa office to the spa through the hotel?

"Close to facilities"
Some of the deco could do with up dating, but everything else was excellent. Great laundry facilities, business centre, free wifi and great food and drinks bar. Staff very helpful.

Waikiki Beach Condominiums

"Close to everything."
The couch needed repair. Was not comfortable to sit on. The air conditioner was right next to the couch so even if you wanted to sit there you would get blasted by the a/c. The kitchen window was stuck opened. There should have been a separate TV for the bedroom. Luckily, the location trumped all! The condo was not anything special.

Best Western The Plaza Hotel

3253 N Nimitz Hwy, Honolulu - Map
"Close to the airport"
We use the airport hotels for our one night flight changes when visiting friends on the Big Island. The less said about the other one the better. This was our first stay at this hotel and it was very fit for purpose - clean room, freeway noise didn't disturb us at night with the curtains shut, noisy guests next door would be a problem, very adequate for the price for a one night stay. Will stay again on our future visits.

Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki

"Excellent location and staff"
We arrived in the morning before normal check in time and the staff were super friendly and managed to upgrade us to a suite and allow early check in at the same time. The view was incredible! 180 degree view of the island and ocean overlooking the park and beautiful beaches. The pool area and staff work very hard to create a serene and enjoyable relaxing experience at the pool. The facility is maintained so well and the lobby is a grand and gorgeous entry.
