"Old world Hawaiian Style"
I liked the decor/style of this place, very open and old world style. Really reminded me of Thailand from their use of deeps wood colors. Once you get in the room you can tell its been around awhile, furniture is dated, but that was okay with me. Everything was clean and comfortable. Fyi, if you use a debit card they will take a $300 deposit.

"NICE HOTEL CLOSE TO THE BEACH"
HAD A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE DURING OUR VACATION. VERY GOOD HOSPITALITY BY THE STAFF. EVERYBODY WAS WARM, INFORMATIVE, AND APPROACHABLE. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND MODERNIZED. CLOSE TO THE BEACH AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. A LOT OF RESTAURANTS TO CHOSE FROM. THE BREAKFAST AND FREE WI FI WAS A BIG PLUS IN RESERVING THIS HOTEL. ALSO LOCATION. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

"Close to everything"
Great central location! 2 minutes to beach front and located by great restaurants and both public bus service as well as 'pink' line trolley so getting anywhere is simple. Little touches like the chilled water in the foyer is an added bonus as you come and go in the warm/hot climate.

"Amazing Experiance."
I have left my heart in hawai'i, from the moment we arrived to the very last min of our trip every second was amazing. The hotel was pretty nice, had an unbelivable view of the ocean. The staff was very friendly. Our cleaning lady Tangi was the sweetest person you will meet and left our room spotless everyday. I felt as if I was home away from home. Mahalo hawai'i until next time :)

"I never wanted to leave..."
The Kahala Hotel and Resort was the most wonderful and beautiful place we have ever stayed. The staff from beginning to end were flawless, never once did we have a bad experience, anything we needed they provided and with a smile. Rooms cleaned everyday, fresh towels, turn down service with chocolates. The dolphin lagoon was right there on the grounds and our 10 year old daughter was thrilled and amazed by the experience, she was able to swim and feed the dolphins. Every morning when we walked to the pool and beach we would stop and say good morning to the dolphins she loved it. We will returning to the Kahala any chance we can, heck it was so wonderful there I forgot I was in Hawaii'i! After a day trip to Waikiki, all we could think about was getting back to the hotel and sitting on the beach or poolside. Why go downtown where there are thousands of people crawling over each other on the beach when at the Kahala you have your own beach with only a few people? The hardest thing I have ever tried to do on a vacation is nothing, always busy, running from tour site to another, here I was able to do absolutely nothing if I wanted. Heck found myself getting up at 4:30 am to sit on the beach and watch the tractor groom the beach then go for swim in the ocean under the sunrise. Never wanted to sleep in and miss a moment of the Kahala. Oh I miss the Kahala, cannot wait to return.

"Best value among hotels in Waikiki"
The Ilima hotel is, by far, the best value in Waikiki. It offers the best combination of clean and spacious rooms, close proximity to the beach and very friendly, helpful staff. This was our 3rd stay at the Ilima, and we've been very happy with our stay every time.

"Great place in Waikiki"
I was reluctant to book somewhere I wasnt sure of, but this place was amazing. It took 5 minutes to walk to Waikiki beach an d all the best restaurants were within a 10 minute walk. The staff were fantastic and even though we arrived at 7am they did all they could to get us checked in as early as possible. Rooms were clean and serviced daily, the pool, spa and bar were great and so relaxing. We booked again as soon as we left.

"Fabulous stay!"
We stayed at the Queen Kapiolani Hotel in August 2014 for 12 days. It was fantastic! I would not change a thing, except maybe getting a beachfront view room, but of course you have to pay extra for that. It was great in every way! My wife and two kids (10 and 13) stayed in a double room. Balcony, fridge, clean. I would definitely stay here again. Expedia rep in the main lobby found us a great deal on a rental car through Enterprise rentals. We saved big. The location is great, walking distance to the beach and all the restaurants. The General Manager does a hands on talk about the history and culture of the Hawaiian Islands several mornings a week in the lobby. It is GREAT! Really informative and interesting, and also fun to hear. Rooms very clean, well maintained, very fast elevators, never had to wait. Nice pool (we used it just once to try it out) with a nice view of Diamond Head. I've stayed at the Ohana East before, which I loved, but it was completely booked this time around. This was our first time at the Queen Kapiolani. We really loved it. Location was amazing. Very nice people working here.
