"Great hotel!"
Nice clean and spacious hotel. Close enough to the centre of Waikiki without being too close! Away from the busy main street, therefore nice and quiet!

"Very enjoyable work trip"
I was staying here w/short notice for a work trip. The staff was super helpful, storing samples & helping me load my vehicle daily. Room was great, a little small, but "boutique-y" so it worked. Great location---just enough off the beaten path to be quiet & only 3 blocks away from the beach & night life.

"great location, clean and comfortable."
we stayed here for a total of six days. only downside is that there is no housekeeping. Only have housekeeping if you stay there over 8 days. staff was great but they are a little pushy with the timeshare presentations.

"Nice hotel comfortable"
I'm very pleased with this hotel. Very close to Ala Moana shopping center and beach park and all the beaches near Waikiki. Good central point for buses and shopping. Beautiful, laid back area compared to the Waikiki beach area yet close enough to enjoy everything. The boat pier is nice, we had a partial view of ocean between the buildings. This area is safe and clean, good for families or older folks. Our room was on the top floor, was very clean & had king size bed. The rooms are modern & renovated. They have a small fridge and a coffee maker but no microwave. I would suggest the hotel add microwaves. There's a safe to keep your valuables but you have to ask for the key. There's complimentary Mai Tai drinks on Thur & Fri. Free ice cold water in the lobby, but no breakfast or restaurants in the hotel bldg itself. That's no problem as there are plenty of eateries within one block. There's an Outback restaurant and Red Lobster & MacDonalds across the street . My favorite place to get food is the ABC store in the same block. You can get anything here including alcohol & souvenirs. The Hotel staff are very nice & friendly and accommodating to your requests. You should consider this hotel if you are budget conscious. I'd recommend this to a friend.

"great location, amazing staff, generous rooms"
Had such a great experience at Aqua Wave! In such a great location only 5 minutes walk to the beach and main strip of shops. The staff were so lovely and attentive - especially Stella - she helped me to find a hire car for the day and told me where to go for the cheapest prices. Beds made daily, towels changed daily. Can be noisy at night time with street noise even on level 10. Ask to be higher in the hotel - otherwise perfect for the price!

"Close to everything, private and quiet."
We had a couple of small issues...fridge stopped working for example. When we advised the staff it was replaced within two hours. If you tell the staff about any issues you may be having they will do their best to correct it as soon as possible; Don't wait until you get home to complain about the resort. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.

"Great hotel with wonderful staff"
We stayed at Halekulani in January and had a great time. The pool and hotel feels secluded (which is a feat given how busy the area is) but yet you're close to everything if you want to get out. Every member of the staff we interacted with went above and beyond to make our stay special. Highly recommended.

"Comfortable with Friendly Staff"
I would recommend this hotel for any single or couple staying in Honolulu who want to be in the mix. I stayed there as a single 20-something woman and loved every second. The staff and local store owners were friendly. They helped me find good places to eat and meet fun people. They even invited me to do activities with them in the area. I had the best time! The room was moderately sized. It was not huge, but I didn't need huge. The bed was comfortable enough. The lanai was very nice, and the bathroom was reasonable sized. Some reviewers stated that the rooms were small and between hostels. I am not sure what they were talking about. I have stayed in much smaller rooms in NYC for twice the price in terrible parts of town. This place was cozy, friendly, and perfect for a getaway. The bar downstairs made great drinks and had friendly locals and staff. Made many friends at Stay Waikiki.
