The place was very understaffed, but all the staff was very excellent. They always accommodated any requests I made and overall it was a very nice stay worth the price.

Mattress is too soft

At check in I was surprise and disappointed to learn that the hotel does not offer daily housekeeping service. Had I known this when I booked the hotel I would have chosen a different property.

Derek front desk was able to turn our experience in Portland around. Upgraded us and gave us a recommendation to what to do in Portland. It was fabulous!

My Cosy room was truly cozy. Wood panelling and wood accents throughout the hotel give the place a warm inviting feel. Smallish rooms are offset by ample, comfortable space downstairs to work. Loved the art throughout the hotel and rooftop restaurant/bar. Food was good. Staff was friendly. Location is convenient. Only downside is that it sits on the edge of the somewhat sketchy Old Town-Chinatown district, but that’s offset by all the other pluses. I’d stay here again.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Unfortunately area around hotel has a lot of homeless people shouting and it felt a bit unsafe after dark.

I love the rustic feel of the Mark Spencer, I loved it location very close to shopping, I really enjoyed the vibe very much Portland. And the coffee was fantastic.
