We had an easy check-in and a beautiful spacious apartment. We are casual golfers who had not planned on playing, but the course looked so nice we had to! The beds are large and comfortable. The WiFi, tv, AC, and bathrooms all worked perfectly. We played some family soccer at the outdoor pitch and would have enjoyed the pool except that a film crew was shooting a soap opera during our stay… it’s okay because instead we swam at Foz de Arelho beach 20 minutes away, which was one of our trip highlights. We are used to sharing a small room with the kids on holiday, so having a dining room and separate bedrooms felt luxurious! Breakfast was nice, with decent plant-based options. A highly recommended stay!

Great hotel and great service. Amazing views of Duoro valley. But they have the worst coffee in the world literally. A shame they don’t think good coffee and a person that knows how to make it is important because that is one of the most understated luxuries in life. Starting your day with a great cup of coffee sets the tone for the rest of the day. What a disappointment.
