The staff was very courteous and friendly. However, the room we were assigned on the first night was quite a shock. The shower was located in the bedroom with only a single glass wall for separation. There was no sofa and only one chair in the room, as well as just one small bath towel provided. Overall, the room felt more like a closet than a proper hotel room. Given the price we paid, we expected a much more decent accommodation. The following day, I requested a different room, which we received that evening. This room was significantly better and met our expectations. That said, I believe a discount should have been offered for the first night, which unfortunately did not happen. Overall, the hotel is very clean and modern.

Really nice boutique hotel in a great location. The staff were all lovely and helpful. Nice sized room and bathroom with everything you needed and a delicious fresh breakfast.

We had an issue with a broken door lock and had to move rooms, which took some time and disrupted our sightseeing plans. However, the staff handled it well and were very apologetic and helpful. Overall, it was a good stay — the hotel is nice, the rooms are modern, and the staff were all kind. Special mention to the young gentleman working at the lobby who was always friendly and helpful whenever we passed by.

We started out in a beautiful room. And then the problems began. 1\. Our toilet was running nonstop so we asked for Maintenance to come and fix it which they did. 2\. The temperature in our room was uncomfortably warm at 73°F and we ask them to help us adjust the thermostat. They told us that it would cool down and to give it some time. We waited several hours and the temperature only climbed to 75°F. 3\. We were on a non-smoking floor and our room began to fill with a very strong cigarette smoke smell. We finally asked management to move us to a new room which they did. Unfortunately, they downgraded us to a very dirty room that needed renovating. The carpets were filthy and the room was in great need of upgrading and improvement. And amazingly the room was equally as hot. When we called the front desk we were then offered a fan which we declined due to the noise. And finally we were told to open our windows as it might take hours for the system to cool down, which brought City noise in into the early hours of the morning. Sadly it was an exhausting night. We had no desire for an upgrade, but we should’ve at least been extended the same level of room we had paid for which had recently been renovated and was lovely. It’s unfortunate that circumstances beyond our control forced us into a downgraded room. If we return to Brussels, we most likely will not return to this hotel.

Fire could have been lit in the bar considering how cold it was, prices of breakfast and other meals were so exhorbitant I ate elsewhere, especially after the room service card I put outside my door for breakfast was not even collected by staff.

I would highly recommend this stay for anybody! Alex the host was so friendly and accommodating. We arrived before check in and he allowed us to come in early and drop off our luggage and gave us a tour of the property. Breakfast was nice and we even met his dog Luna :-). We were a block away from a portion of the Christmas markets and about 8 minutes from all the downtown shops and sights. Stop looking and just stay here!
