Holy Island Yoga Vacations

This was a charming place to stay. There were sheep in the field outside our window. There were cookies and tea things in our room. There was a nice common room/library with lots of maps and guide books. We had a delicious full Scottish breakfast in the morning. We'd love to stay there again!

The castle view room was lovely...very spacious, nice bathroom and the bed was a bit small but comfortable enough. Our evening meal in the restaurant was quite pricey but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast was equally excellent. We loved hearing about the history of the castle with the complimentary tour...great idea! We visited as a couple to celebrate my partner's birthday and were not disappointed thank you!

Breakfast was tasty, staff super busy but still really friendly and happy to help. If visiting when the weather is as hot as it is right now (June ‘26) ask for a fan and any windows to be kept open as there was no way to cool the room other than this.

This was my second stay here (previous one in 2023). I stayed for 2 nights while exploring the Lakes on my motorbike. Delighted to see the staff are as happy and helpful as ever. Gorgeous quiet rooms with decent showers. I will be back!

I stayed for two nights (Friday & Saturday) at Craglands Guest House in June 2026. The host, Eldon, was very friendly, helpful and hospitable. The rooms are clean, spacious and the beds are perfect for a pair of weary trekker legs at the end of the day. The guesthouse is a stone’s throw (4 min walk) from a pub which was great for the football. Keswick town was around 15/20 mins walk or an easy 5 min drive - perfect location for any stay you’d like to plan in the area. I would definitely recommend you try this guesthouse, I’ll certainly be back. Thank you again Eldon!
