Very nice helpful staff 24 hour desk with Tyson helpful. Self catering facilities good like a home style motel very comfortable bed and good size room, parking available

The room was Clean and well maintained.

We stayed only for one night. First of all, this is NOT a true hotel, but think of it more like airBnB. The property is located in a beautiful part of JoBurg, very safe to walk in the daytime. It's a house that is now converted into some rooms that they have for rental, my guess is that there are about 3-4 rooms in total that they rent out. There is a caretaker on the premise at night, but it's not really to provide guest services in any way other than true emergencies. Good things: very charming, great price/value, great neighborhood, walkable to restaurants and close to Rosebank mall by Uber. Not so good things: it's not a hotel, so the rooms have the previous inhabitants clothing, toiletries as well. It's clean but you may find an odd strand of hair here and there, so if you are squeamish about those things..... Also check in was a bit strange, there are no instructions, you get there expecting a sign that announce it's a hotel; and you see nothing but the wall of the house with the name "maison jacaranda", then you ring the doorbell and hope that South Africans don't believe in stand your ground laws, I would definitely get there and "check in" early in the day as I wouldn't have figured it out at night. All in all, I really like the property and would stay there again as I am not squeamish and enjoy the charm.

I was not there but one night due to the schedule changes from the airlines due to the illegal war on Iran from our idiot, felon president. However, my only surprise was the mold and mildew in the shower. It looks like the shower was never fully sprayed or scrubbed down and that was a bit gross. I would book this property again.

Overall great place… have stayed there a number of times. But the last time was disappointing…I ordered room service at 9:20 pm and never got it delivered. Much less than i would expect even from a one star hotel let alone a hotel of this calibre

Spent 4 nights in the hotel, 3 issues faced for a 5star hotel, internet was weak, tv had no Netflix or amazon prime application, they refused to bring a microwave to my suite as well as refused to warm my meals unless it was purchased from their restaurant lol.

Met all our expectations and more. Lovely hotel to stay at. Keep up the good service and clean environment.
