Great location, staff is always friendly and helpful

This was our second stay at The Esplanade and to be honest, the opportunity to stay here again was the main reason we detoured to Zagreb! It was originally built for passengers of the Orient Express and as a result, it has that elegant, old world luxury that is so rare nowadays. Despite being 101 years old, it is immaculately maintained - none of that faded grandeur, it is still very much a luxury hotel. The staff we met were lovely, in particular the extremely friendly and helpful young lady on front desk who offered us a (much appreciated) glass of sparkling wine as we checked in. We arrived late so had a bite to eat in the bistro, though we did dine in the restaurant last time. The atmosphere was elegant, staff were lovely, the food and wine were both great. In fact, we enjoyed it so much, we dined there again the following day. Our room was large, luxurious and very comfortable, had a fabulous night’s sleep. Honestly, I didn’t even bother researching other hotels in Zagreb - for me, there is no other option, I have found my perfect hotel!

Very good hotel with free parking and close t everything with very good breakfast.

Loved the clean, fresh, nice aroma when walking in lobby. Great location, wonderful rooftop bar, excellent breakfast, king bed super comfortable. Would stay there again if ever back in Zagreb.

This hotel has the best location and the best amenities of any place I’ve ever stayed in Zagreb. We had five rooms at the beginning of our trip and then five rooms at the end of our trip and the staff from top to bottom were over the top, helpful and considerate and made our trip phenomenal. We will be back.
