Good, convenient location, close to shopping and restaurants. Their shuttle service is very convenient, takes you to three or four stops in the town, about every 15 minutes. Their café, Portobello, good for morning coffee and quick breakfast, although they sell out of the popular items early in the morning. They also have coffee and tea service in the room. The Mallard Lounge is a fun place to hang out in the evenings. Live music, and food available. Good bar too, with excellent service. Our room was comfortable, although dated. The carpet looks a bit worn out as does the furniture. The lighting is very muted, apparently a Canada requirement? The light bulbs are dim, with no overhead light, the room stays dark, with dark furniture. Lots of shelves and roomy closet. Bathroom is ok size, shower is teeny tiny. There is a bathtub. Towels are decent, although the hand towels are thin and worn out. Housekeeping is hit or miss. First day, they didn’t clean the room, even with us gone for over five hours. Said they were too busy getting rooms ready for future guests. We did request the cleaning when we left in the morning. But they should also take care of current guests. They apologized and sent a fruit basket and Prosecco as a further apology which we appreciated. This is a huge resort, with many rooms. Lots of traffic, so the rooms take a beating. All in all, good staff, decent amenities.

The staff were over the top kind, competent, helpful and engaging. The view from our room was enchanting and the entire visit was relaxing but yet invigorating. My only regret is that we didn't stay nearly long enough to totally absorb the fullness of the hotel adventures. We definitely desire a repeat visit maybe during winter or spring.

Unfortunately, our room had a very disappointing view — all we could see from the window was a wall. We decided to downgrade the room, but the experience was still very disappointing. Since the reservation was made through Hotels.com, we were told that the price difference could not be refunded to us, and we received breakfast instead. It was especially frustrating because this happened during what should have been a wonderful trip to such a beautiful destination. Overall, this left us with a very unpleasant experience.
