Room: furnishings and bathroom was a bit dated, mattress and pillows provided no support (way too soft), Steps on the stairway between the upper entrance area and lower bedroom area were steep and narrow and challenging to navigate carrying a suitcase, never mind regular access. Price: It was the height of the summer season (August long-weekend), but the room was overpriced (~$800/night) for what it provided. Staff: I needed to change the credit card being used before we checked out. I went down early on day of checkout to switch the method of payment. No one at the front desk, I waited - no one came out. I went into the adjacent side room hoping there would be a desk clerk there and they were sitting at the desk with the security cameras. They were quite gruff and said they had seen me on the security camera and would be out in a minute. I explained I needed to change the credit card to pay for the room. The clerk seemed quite frustrated by this, checked the booking then told me I had already paid for the room when I booked. I had not. It was clear on my reservation that I would be paying at location. I could have just left and not paid (their problem not mine) but did not want the other credit card to be charged. Clerk then said computer was slow and he couldn't do anything and I had to wait for manager. I had to catch a shuttle so said I couldn't wait. It too multiple calls later to get things resolved. Not impressed with how front desk staff handled it.
