Great stay at Lanou Hotel in Beijing! The location is fantastic—close to many popular attractions, which made sightseeing so easy. The front desk staff were super friendly and check-in was very efficient. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. As a business traveler, I really appreciated the smooth experience. Highly recommended!

Interesting experience to stay in an authentic Beijing neighborhood.

Clean room. Lobby was very disorganized, luggage everywhere and the check-in area was not clean, the staff pulled slippers, soap and toothbrush from a box stacked just behind them at check-in and gave them to us in a plastic bag to take to our room, this was very strange and was not what we expected for a hotel classified as 4 stars.

The location of the property is ideal, close to a metro station and it also is near to shops and some restaurants. What lets it down is staff, they weren’t very friendly but did speak English, which was very much appreciated. However, whenever you asked them for something there was always an excuse e.g. checking in early we were asked to pay more. I asked them where the bar was, they said they didn’t have one - even though there was a sign in the lift for it. The worst thing is I wasn’t advised ahead of time that the fitness centre was closed, I would’ve stayed somewhere else had I been forewarned.

Staff as brilliant. But property needs refurbishment. Dirty carpets and old rooms. It was a comfortable stay all up.

Firstly, I was booking non smoking room but it was smoking smell in the room while I checked room 1218, although I have double check with the staff before checking in. I talked about the issue to the front desk then asking me to move to 1607 ( non smoking room) on the second day. I have spent time to move this 1607 by myself. Finally, this room was ok. Secondly, regarding swimming pool, they asked the guest to purchase their swimming cap to swimming, guest cannot swimming without swimming cap. But no any notice to let us know while we booked the room regarding swimming cap. It was unreasonable request to the guest. We already spent decent money for staying this hotel, their services value must match their fees. Plus, the swimming pool is a third party operating not belongs pan pacific hotel Beijing. If we know this before, we would not book this kind of hotel. Should be clearly to the agreement otherwise will be deem breach agreement.Overall, the stay for this time was ok only. I hope that they can apologize for this unexpected experience. Thank you!
