It is a beautiful property and the rooms are really nice and spacious. Location is great. One elevator out of two has been out of service for a while. Our room never got serviced during the day despite leaving a message to do so, at the front desk in the morning. We were delayed in arriving by a day due to flight cancellations, but the property manager refused to refund one night's charges. It is a wonderful property and I wish we received better service, so that I could give it 5 stars.

This is a great place to stay to see the sights in DC. Within walking distance to most points of interest. The room was great! Very clean and everyone of the staff was professional and nice. Everything was at expected... Except the TV... I was unable to connect to any of my personal viewing accounts except Netflix which was built in to the unit. I like to watch YouTube TV but was unable to connect. I also was unable to cast from my phone. It's wasn't a big deal but it was the only issue I had. I highly recommend The River Inn.

Tv wasn’t working correctly. No guide or menu function. Reported and was unable to resolve. That’s the only hiccup. The hotel and staff were amazing and if we return to DC we will be booking again

A great unit for a great price. Interesting business model -- not your typical hotel and not for the technically challenged. It is located on the 6th floor of a large condo building. All contact is through your phone, so it is not easy to locate, get in, etc. You need a code for the garage (parking at $50/day is not included) which must be set up before arrival. You then need to figure out where to park for access to the right part of the building. Then you need to be buzzed in or use the app on your phone. App must also be used to operate the elevator. There is a small unit on the 6th floor which is used for check in where you can pick up a key fob for the doors and elevators. Unit itself was large, very modern and had everything we could need: large kitchen (a few wall plugs did not work), pod coffee maker, large living space, huge TV (streaming only, nothing local or live; initially remote did not work and needed batteries), separate bedroom and nice bathroom. Bed was super comfortable: the sheets, bedding and pillows were great. Shower was nice but water pressure in the bathroom sink was almost non-existent and despite letting the app and "front desk" know, it was not corrected while we were there. Unit was very quiet --there are quiet hours but I have no idea whom would enforce them if there was partying. The "pop-up" hotel was also located in a food dessert with no close by restaurants or stores.

We totally loved our stay here. I totally recommend staying here when visiting D.C. as you can walk to everything, and we did just that. The view of the White House and the rest of D.C. from the roof top is just stunning. I hope to get the chance to stay here again. It is right across from the Treasury building, the White House and the Hamilton restaurant. Fly in to Reagan National, walk to the METRO inside terminal 2, ride to the closest METRO station and walk to the HOTEL. NO car needed. If you get tired of walking call a ride-share. We did that one time, we had just walked too much. The staff was excellent and very helpful. we arrived early and they watch our luggage while we went to an appointment at the capital. The let us in the room early upon our return. They helped in many ways. It rained and umbrellas were available for use. Highly Recommended.

I enjoyed learning about the history of the property, the staff was friendly and courteous, however, i was disappointed in the selection of the 1-ply toilet paper and kleenex!!

Very clean & well kept hotel.

Just a great hotel. Excellent location for getting around DC. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was fantastic. Housekeeping was friendly. My husband said it's one of the nicest hotels he has stayed in, and he has traveled the world. Will definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful resort. There is a lot to do and plenty of space. The location is close to theme parks and historical sites. We recommend 100%!

Overall the property seemed well kept visually. Our room was clean and exactly as pictured. The reason I'm not leaving a 5-star review has to do with the fact that there were lots of maintenance issues during our stay. Upon arrival, the computers were down making for a much slower check in. The staff was doing their best to accommodate despite the issue. The second day we were there the elevator was out of service, and was still out of service upon our departure the following day. The last day we were there the ice machine was out of service also. If it was just one issue or another, I would have said - things happen but it seemed like a lot of issues that weren't immediately addressed for being the middle of summer and their busy season.
