Great place! Friendly staff

Staff were lovely and area very central

The hotel was very nice and looked well kept. Room was nice, bed was very comfortable (and large). The staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive, We stayed for a concert in Bootle and the hotel was conveniently located near the railway station so we had no difficulty getting there.

The Municipal is a lovely hotel, communal areas are fabulous, it is in a great location and was immaculate. We booked it for my birthday due to it being the only 5 star hotel in Liverpool and thought we would give it a try, we normally stay in the Titanic hotel, however I’m not really sure why it is classed as a 5 star hotel. The Titanic hotel in Liverpool is far more superior in my view. We stayed in a Superior room in the municipal and I have to say I was disappointed, the rooms in the Titanic are by far better, they are around 3 x the size with lounge area and have a bath as well as a shower. We are unlikely to stay again at the Municipal but it may suit others more than us so don’t be put off we just prefer something different.

It's a good place to stay in Chester, especially if you want to visit the zoo, it's about 10 minutes in the car, if you want to walk to the city centre it's only 25 minutes, so it's easy for that too

What a lovely stay at HomeHotels! Room was a good size, very clean and Lyndsay was so helpful from the get-go. Will stay again if we're going to a concert at Anfield. Appreciated the muffins too!
