Stunning hotel and maintained to a spotless standard. Bit of a trek to the centre and parking not cheap but good services just outside (tram, bus) - just takes some working out. We probably didn't need to go for the suite considering the time of year (Sauna and jacuzzi not overly used after stomping streets in near 40deg heat!). Breakfast good and staff super friendly/informative.

This was a beautiful property about 10 mins away from Florence. You get the beauty of Tuscany without having to go too far. The hotel only has 12 rooms and everyone knows you by name. We traveled with 2 kids and the rooms were very spacious. Staff are wonderful, Onsite restaurant was great. Views were breathtaking. We didn't have a car, and the hotel was able to help us with cabs easily. Service was excellent and we would highly recommend this hotel!

Wonderful property, amazing hosts. 20 minutes outside of Florence center-easy to get a taxi. My family loved everything about our stay here!

Room very small, no chairs inside, ants everywhere, including the breakfast area. Quadruple room has a double bed and a single bed, apparently this was the biggest room in the hotel. We book for 4 people ( 2 adults and 2 children 12 and 16 and they had to squeeze in a single bed.

This is an outstanding hotel. The staff, like Paulo, for example (I don’t know the others’ names) will happily find answers to your questions and requests. From what’s the best nearby pizza place (Giotto’s - and it was), to extending checkout (as much as they could) to arranging taxis - you name it. The hotel rooms were old-style and cozy, but with a new marbled tile shower that had hot water and lots of it in that rainfall shower head and/ optional hand held system! All the amenities like slippers, thick robe, etc. Breakfast was buffet style with an abundance of foods to choose from. My husband loved the crunchy, thick bacon and fresh scrambled eggs, while I especially enjoyed the fresh fruit selections. The location was ideal for us and though it was near the train station, Santa Novella Church and other bustling places, we never heard outside noise-although I will say that we were given “one of the quietist rooms in the hotel,” our view was of another building- not of the Duomo or Santa Maria Novella or anything pretty. We didn’t care, but that was the trade off. We were concerned that maybe the air conditioning would not be able to keep up with the 100 degree temperatures outside, but our room as as cool as we like it! We think this was a wonderful hotel in every way, and for critical travelers like ourselves, we had zero complaints- only really fond memories of our stay at Hotel L’Orologia in Florence, Italy!
