Eastern Shore Scuba Diving Vacations

Very nice apparent Check in was not the easiest, not clear on how to get into the building and miserable receptionist on the ground floor.. Waited to be allowed up to the 6tj floor where we checked in to the hotel Email with instructions was sent out 4 hours after check in was allowed.

Just a note to Expedia bookers, you will probably end up on a low floor without the same amenities as other guests. We were put above the underground garage so the room shook when the door went up and down. The front window was right near street level by the front door. We noticed other rooms had a Nespresso set up as we were leaving, but we didn’t. Room service was a bit hectic with trying to order (the kitchen was hard to reach) but the delivery person was super nice. I tried to use the texting feature to request items from the desk (e.g., more hangars) and never heard back, while I do at other Kimpton hotels. Hotel keys didn’t work the first couple times I tried to use them, so I kept having to return to the desk. The hotel also makes it look like there is a rooftop that guests can access, and that is currently untrue. It seems like there was once a bar that is now closed and it is used entirely as an event space. Some pluses were free drink tickets to the downstairs bar and discounted coupons if you dine in the hotel restaurant for 15% off. There is also free water in the lobby. There is a steamer and make up mirror in the room, which is also super convenient. All in all, I think I’ll book through IHG with Kimpton in the future. The hotel itself was comfortable but was missing some things that would have made it stand out.

The staff was so helpful and great but the beds and pillows were so uncomfortable. The pillows especially were awful and we changed them too. Still bad. Won’t stay there again because we both slept so badly.

If you're looking at this hotel, go ahead and book it! Not only is it luxurious and friendly, but you'll find at least 5 taxis by it at any time (a definite plus when certain Metro lines are being repaired). Added bonus: the signature house fragrance is unspeakably delicious. You will love your stay here!

I can’t say enough amazing things about the Lyle. The staff is the best in the business and the space is so artfully designed and comfortable! Their restaurant and bar is a vibe and has the best food and drinks. I love the care and attention every single person pays to providing a stellar guest experience. It’s the only place I will stay when I’m in DC and I look forward to my next visit!
