For a four star hotel... the pool in particular was run down. There are traffic cones around the pool deck, spots where the tiles in the pool are chipped, and the handrail into the hot tub is wobbly. On the bright side, the bed was super comfy, and I enjoyed doing the yoga on the beach that is included in the resort fee.

What an incredibly beautiful hotel! Our stay was absolutely fantastic. Everything was top tier and worth the money. I can’t say enough about the views, it could have possible been the best ones I’ve ever seen at a hotel. The beach at the hotel was stunning and perfect for snorkeling. We saw turtles and tons of fish. The beach hospitality coupled with the view and the prime waters was spectacular. Behind the beach is the pool with everything you need and more. There’s towels, sunscreen, great food and service. I could go on and on. The resort fees are expensive but you truly pay for what you get. We had a very late flight and the hotel offers a hospitality suite for you to shower and freshen up after the 11am checkout. I can’t recommend it enough. I’ll be back as soon as I can!

Amazing hotel almost like in White Lotus. We greatly enjoyed the lagoon. Hawaiian performances in the lobby throughout the day. Poipu beach has many turtles at sun set.

The location was perfect. We loved that it had easy beach access. We were disappointed that our condo didn’t have air conditioning. Also, the TV was missing from the master bedroom. The condo was not clean and seemed rundown. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. There were bugs and geckos inside and they made a mess. Since there was a cleaning fee we would have expected the condo to be clean. All that being said, we did enjoy our time in Kauai.

We had the absolute best stay at the Koa Kea. We loved how the resort is on the smaller side, and you can easily walk out of your room and to the pool, beach, or to some nearby businesses (little fish, puka dog, surf shop..). The staff was super friendly and accommodating as well. I also loved being greeted with real leis, chocolate for our honeymoon, and wine in the room when we arrived! The pool bar had some yummy food, and good drinks. The sunrise yoga was fantastic as well. We stayed here for our honeymoon and actually preferred it to the first half of our trip, when we stayed at Hotel 1 Hanalei. Again, we loved how small and intimate Koa Kea felt, and it had a calm, relaxing vibe with mostly adults staying at the property. We already can't wait to come back again for an anniversary in the future.

Choose other resorts. The amenities for this resort are not worth the money. There is only one restaurant and its not open all the time. The beach is 1/2 mile walk. The beach is not just for this property but for many others. Staff is very friendly, but not much they can do about the issues.

Wonderful property. Could use more attention with the furniture as a hinge was broken in the one of the cubbies and the chair being squeaky but overall amazing staff and experience

Overall for a local resident the staff fill my needs. However, the room was dirty and even after I requested a clean the cleaning crew still didn't did the issue I had found. There was someone's dark hair still I. The bathroom and shower and they didn't clean it after I had requested a room clean. Told me the cleaning was not really any good. Sad experience
