The quality of the hotel was fine and appropriate for a $400-500 a night stay. The front desk was very nice and apologetic for issues that occurred. My issue is three fold. First, the pictures are very misleading. This is a hotel right off the interstate. There are no views even though they would make you believe there are based on the pictures. I could almost touch the cars outside of my window when I thought I was getting a view of the mountains. Second, one of the first questions they ask you is whether you will need your room cleaned that week. I get that everyone is going green. You have a door tag that you turn to show you want the room cleaned. One day it was ignored. So the next time we asked the room to be cleaned, we told the front desk. Again, the room was not cleaned. They did get it right the third time. Third, the cleaning was less than stellar. Changing sheets were optional. They must not own a vacuum cleaner. And we actually ran out of toilet paper. In summary, the potential is there, just recognize you will not have a view. The cleaning, or lack of it, can clearly be addressed. I feel bad for the front desk as they have to field frustrated customers due to things out of their control.

He photos are misleading - one feels they are renting a beautiful retreat. It isn’t. The cottage is run down, with a large burn on the dining room table, holes in the sitting room ottoman, and a worn out couch that we all found incredibly uncomfortable. Lack of comfortable seating was the worst part of the stay - either one sits on the worn out couch, or the hard dining room table chairs. The interior was filled with flies - they keep landing on our heads and food. The owner’s acknowledged the flies were an issue, but she said she can’t fix the issue as she doesn’t know where they are coming in from. When we told the owner the toaster didn’t work, she assured me that it did. She said the problem was that the plug was broken, which supplied the electricity to the toaster. (Sorry for criticizing the toaster!) Guest bathroom towels are dishtowels. Getting to the dock is perilous. It’s accessed down a long exterior staircase. The railway ties that once made up the stairs have lifted and twisted over time to be become dozens of hazardous, raised tripping hazards. Getting down to the dock is not for the faint of heart. Once at the dock, access to the dock is gained by climbing over the first dock section that is covered in logs and branches, and has been distorted to a 45 degree angle, making climbing over it treacherous to say the least. There are a series of yurts and a trailer overlooking the property.

We made a last minute decision to stay in Canmore for the night while visiting Calgary. We found this resort condo on Expedia for a reasonable price and booked it. Great communication with the manager and easy check in process. The condo was perfect, very clean with little extras like coffee pods. The beds were super comfortable Location was perfect and was on the trail that takes you into downtown Canmore. Our only regret was that our travel plans only allowed us one night stay We plan to return and will for sure book this in the future

- hotel asked for hanging the refreshment tag for the room cleaning. There was no such tag, only “ do not disturb” tag inside the room. No cleaning for my two-night stay. I asked for the room cleaning in the front desk. The cleaning staff changed the used towels. the room was still messy. - the electric sockets in the counter area was out of work until I report this case to front desk. - the phone connected to the front desk and service doesn’t work, the phone was on, but cannot dial to the front desk and other hotel departments. I asked front desk for fixing the problem, but the phone still could not be used for my stay. I need to go down lobby and ask for service. *** I reported these three issues to the front desk in second day, It was super disappointed. Hotel came to room to fix the problem, when they left my room, they used door lock hanger to keep the door open until I come back and found that issue.importantly, In my room was close to the elevator. Another payment issue, I booked the hotel and set the payment when I arrive and stay at hotel. However, equivalence value for one night was deducted for my credit card before I stay. And hotel said they have no record for this prior payment. However, the prior payment shown in my credit card that the merchant name is Sandman Signature Calgary. On the top of prior payment for one night, the hotel charged me two nights for my stay when I checked.
