Virginias Romantic Vacations

I stayed for 4 nights at the Founders Inn. It was very quiet at night and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was very clean and the TV worked great. Staff was very nice and helpful. Dining in the Swan Terrace was interesting, I would have appreciated a chilled bottle of white wine instead of warm - so maybe they need to make sure they have chilled bottles on hand. Wait staff was apologetic, but I was stuck paying for a warm bottle of wine in the end. Overall, very nice experience.

The staff was incorrigible. Not every one was problematic, but the few who acted like we were interrupting their day made for a lousy stay at an expensive place. Plus making matters worse, the parking was a nightmare. There used to be better options.

The staff was outstanding. I got there a bit before official check-in and the desk staff had mercy on a very tired traveller, letting me check in a couple of hours early and catch a nap. They were thoughtful throughout my stay. The room was great, housekeeping was helpful when I had a small issue with the bathroom. The hotel is in a wonderful location and all of the resturants/bars connected to it were very nice. I particularly appreciated the availability of gluten free options. A wonderful stay and I will be back!
