St. George Island State Park Pet-friendly Vacations

I just stayed there for 2 night for FSU Family Weekend. Rates were ridiculously high as was expected for the weekend. First night after we checked in, the door wouldn't close. The door lock plate was bent on the door and coming loose on the door frame. The front desk lady was very nice and responsive and came with a screwdriver to help fix it. I ended up using the back end of the screwdriver to flatten the bent part to fully close the door. We came back from dinner, and found multiple fake eyelash extensions in the bathroom, hair in the bed sheets, and an enormous hair ball on top of the blanket. I have the pictures to prove. Since there is no one there after a certain time, I waited until the morning and spoke with the GM, Judi. She was apologetic and offered to change the sheets. When we came back that afternoon, I found another fake eyelash extension in the bed she apparently put new sheets on. It was so dirty in that room, that when you left the bar hand soap on the bathroom sink, the back end would be speckled back. The same with the shower, it was dusty and not clean. If I paid a normal rate for this room, I would be less upset, The type of facility this is, I wasn't expecting much. I was expecting it to be cleaned properly. The room next to me even had their bag of trash sitting out in the hallway the entire time I was there. This is not a regular hotel, It's more apartment style facility with bare bones in terms of housekeeping. I would never stay here again.

Good Hotel. I was overcharged but given a refund immediately.
