Gorgolaini Pet-friendly Vacations

We are having a wonderful stay at Bella Beach Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff have been friendly, welcoming and very helpful. We had a small issue with our original room, and the team listened to our concerns. They kindly upgraded us to a room with a much better sea view and even helped move all of our luggage, which we really appreciated as we are travelling with a baby and a toddler. The food has been very good, with plenty of choice at every meal, and the hotel is clean, well maintained and in a great location right by the beach. A big thank you to the reception and all the staff for their excellent customer service. They made us feel valued and helped make our holiday even more enjoyable. We would happily recommend Bella Beach Hotel and would love to return in the future.

This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had. The Hotels.com listing is misleading and materially inaccurate. Its advertised the hotel as being on a white sandy beach with an exclusive beach bar, complete with photos suggesting exactly that. In reality, there is no exclusive beach bar and the nearest beach is public, rocky and nothing like the images or description (it’s a vile beach). Had the listing been accurate, I would never have booked this hotel. The problems didn’t end there. The blonde concierge was extremely unhelpful and refused to assist with booking restaurants or beach clubs. The hot water remained lukewarm throughout our stay and the manager shrugged his shoulders and refused to investigate. Towels were stained, had holes in them and are used interchangeably for both the bathrooms and the beach. The patio door regularly got stuck creating a safety concern. Housekeeping removed bedding from our room and failed to replace it, and when we raised it with the manager, he accused us of stealing it. The plunge pools are also very misleading in the marketing photos. Rather than overlooking a luxury setting, ours looked directly onto a car park and supermarket/high street. The location itself was also a huge disappointment.

Ignored and Disappointed: Poor Communication by Hotel Management When we extended our stay, the hotel staff failed to inform us about a special 50% May discount. Although the manager later compensated us nicely, our experience with the hotel’s loyalty program has been extremely disappointing. Since our stay, we've made multiple attempts to register for the hotel’s loyalty membership. Despite discussing this directly with reception upon checkout (we were promised a follow-up that never came) and sending three subsequent emails, we've received no response whatsoever. It feels as though the hotel is deliberately avoiding our registration to prevent us from receiving the 10% discount on our next visit, especially concerning given their initial oversight regarding the 50% discount. We remain puzzled by this complete lack of communication from hotel management.

Amazing stay. Very tranquil property and extremely clean and well kept. Katerina was their absolute best waitress. If you did get anyone but her service was honestly subpar. And if you’re staying multiple days the menu can honestly become mundane. But there are restaurants just a quick 5 minute walk away. If you are looking to visit the beach more than the pool this isn’t the area to stay. The beaches are VERY rocky. Huge rocks.

Our third stay. Always welcoming, lovely staff. Very clean rooms and facilities. Excellent restaurant. Beautiful pool area. We will return again one day.

Beautiful Hotel in a Great Location, But Some Details Let It Down We recently stayed at Castello Boutique Suites in Sissi, Crete to celebrate our anniversary, and overall, we had a very good holiday. The hotel made a wonderful gesture by upgrading us to a larger suite with a private side pool, which felt so special and really set the tone for our stay. The suite itself was stylish and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent every morning, and the staff were consistently warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The location couldn’t be better — just a 2-minute walk from the charming port of Sissi, with plenty of tavernas and shops nearby. That said, as this is marketed as a five-star hotel, we were a little disappointed by some details. Positives: – Thoughtful anniversary upgrade to a suite with private pool. – Beautiful, modern, and spacious room. – Fantastic location (2 minutes from Sissi port). – Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice and quality. – Friendly, professional, and welcoming staff. – Relaxed, peaceful atmosphere throughout. Negatives: – Private pool jets and lights didn’t work; nothing was fixed during our stay. – Pool needed topping up and sides had algae. – No towel hooks in the bathroom; “do not disturb” system broken. – Daily housekeeping, but balcony wasn’t cleaned in 8 nights. – Cups and glasses not refreshed — had to wash them ourselves. From the moment you're greeted for check-in, to the moment you check-out, it's nothing short of 5 stars. The staff are extremely helpful and polite, always catering for your needs which is what you expect from a resort like Amirandes. We came here for our minimoon and we loved it. The main restaurant for buffet and dinner were very good! Shout out to the person making omelettes every morning, they were delicious. We never had any issues getting a sunbed near the outdoor pool, and overall it was such a pleasant stay :)
