Anvers Pet-friendly Vacations

We were surprised at how much the property had deteriorated in the past few years since our last visit. Given what we feel was a very steep rate for the heat of the summer in Las Vegas, we expected to find a better maintained property. A few examples of maintenance items in the room: The shower door wouldn’t close and latch, the makeup mirror flipped forward and wouldn’t stay up, the bottom sheet on our bed was tucked in at least two feet short of the end of the bed, water pressure in the shower was so low it was difficult to rinse our hair, light switches for lights above and on the sides of the bed did not work, and the toilet tissue was so thin you could see thru it. On a positive side, the room ventilation and cooling was excellent, the room was very clean, and the elevators were quiet and fast. Guests need to know that there is no breakfast provided, no coffee, and literally no information in the room discussing any amenities that may be available at the hotel and attached casino. The only thing in the room were two $3 bottles of water. Next trip to visit family we will likely search for a new hotel.

The Venetian is overwhelmingly huge (it's Vegas!) but after the first day I could find my way around easily. There are plenty of dining options, from gourmet (expensive) to casual (less expensive). The suite was more than roomy. The only downsides are no coffee machine in the suite, and no fan in the bathroom. Otherwise, everything is very clean and impressive. If you have shows to attend at The Sphere, it's walkable - not exactly connected, but about a 10-15 minute indoor walk via the convention center (unless there's a convention going on in which case you will have to walk outside). If you're taking Uber or Lyft, there's a dedicated spot in the second floor parking garage that makes it very easy to find your ride. Avoid the street-level chaos and go to that second-level rideshare space.
