Bordeaux Mountain Trail Mountain Vacations

I was extremely disappointed with our stay at Margaritaville Vacation Club in St. Thomas. I knew it was seaweed season before coming, but what I didn’t know was how horrible and overwhelming the smell would be. The smell was so bad that I couldn’t comfortably sit outside and actually became sick and threw up from it. I understand that the resort can’t control the seaweed, but I do feel guests should be warned about how severe the smell can get. On top of that, we had no hot water in our shower, which was extremely frustrating. During the summer, the resort and surrounding area also felt like a ghost town, with very little going on, so if you’re looking for a fun, lively vacation, I would not recommend coming here during this time of year. Overall, the resort looked much better online than it felt in person, and unfortunately, our experience was nowhere near what we expected.

This was our second time in Calichi. I intend to return soon. There is no other place like it in the world.

Excellent place to stay on Saint Thomas. The owners are very responsive, friendly, and accommodating. Clean and spacious rooms a short walk from downtown Charlotte Amalie. This is a small, locally owned "hotel" that has an intimate, relaxed vibe. Easy access and parking.
