(5,960 reviews) We personally were not impressed the shops and restaurants on site were outrageously priced!!! Our visit to their general store where we purchased 2 single ice cream sandwiches and one cupcake and a water cost a little over $23\. We went to the sports bar and grill after looking up the restaurant menu on line The sports bar and grill website where we viewed the menu was exactly what we were looking for and had many options to please everyone. When we got to the restaurant on site (which the restaurant at the resort location was listed on their main web site). The menu had very limited options. They had one burger option 2 appetizers etc. the resort itself was nothing in comparison to their advertisement listing. The water park was small and you had to pay an admission fee to enter. The pool advertised as the adult only pool and bar had about 12 kids that album 4 were under the age of 12 and they were in the hot tub for most of the time. Don’t get me wrong I love kids and especially me grand kids but this time was about my husband and I. We also requested a wake up call as we had a departing flight at 7 am. They never called. We did have our phone alarm but the resort WiFi was unpredictable. We were very excited to stay as we have a family vacation coming up and very to have found a new and exciting fun place to stay. (525 reviews) Came down for spring break as a solo mom with two kids ages 9 and 7\. We originally booked the Beachside Hotel and upon checking we immediately checked out and got a last minute room at Westgate for 4 nights. The front desk crew was super welcoming to us (thanks Ro and Amy) and when we got to our super clean suite with big comfy beds we were so relieved! The next day the resort looked even better in the daylight. The beach spot is fantastic, you can rent chairs and umbrellas and boogie boards each day (but get there not too long after 9am they do sell out). My kids spent hours boogie boarding at the beach and it was never too crowded. We would bop back over to Westgate’s pool, lazy river, and splash pad and have lunch from the tiki bar (hi Mikayla!! Our awesome server all week). My only suggestions are that they provide more toiletries (body lotion and bigger or more bottles of shampoo & conditioner). I also had to call and press to get the room cleaned on day 2, that was a little unclear (housekeeping). They did provide plenty of fresh clean towels for bathrooms and pool when we would call down they would quickly come up and switch them out. I was bummed we couldn’t get a room with a view, the room we got faced the busy road, however, with the bathrooms tucked in the back of the room it was super quiet. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the resort - both the rooms and common spaces and the pool and water play areas. We felt very safe and taken care of! (7 reviews) The condo is in a quiet gated community within 20 minutes of Disney. The back has a little peaceful pond full of birds and alligators. We enjoyed sitting in the screened in area looking out. Its an additional cost to heat the pool located within the condo but we were rarely there so did not choose to pay the fee. There is a resort pool area in walking distance but it is not the one shown in the pictures (the one pictured is a short drive away from this unit). Just FYI - no carry-ins allowed in pool area--they will check your bags. Food and drinks sold there were reasonable. The resort pool is heated and felt warm enough to swim even though the air temps were in the upper 60s/lower 70s. The unit itself was very clean. The beds were comfortable.
