Breakfast a little pricey for what many places would have included

The rooms are HUGE and the property is beautiful! Everything you need and more.

I was disappointed with my stay at the Cliff House. There was construction happening all around the front of the hotel and throughout the inside as well, and I was never made aware of it when booking. When paying a higher rate for a stay, guests should at least have the option to know about major construction beforehand. It really affected the overall experience. On top of that, the staff was not the friendliest or most welcoming. Overall, not the experience I expected.

Location is great! Hotel is cleaned regularly, however it is a there are furniture items that need to be replaced. For example, the couch in our room had dried coffee stains all over it, torn wallpaper in our room, vent in bathroom was full of lint. The bed was well-used, with deep body indentations. Furniture in the lobby was torn and a lot of the faux wood furniture had deep scratches in it. We stayed for 2 nights and the hotel had what we needed, yet I feel for a Marriott and to uphold the Marriott reputation, some things could be replaced and updated.

The property is beautiful and the resort is wonderful. And the view! Plenty of things to do but if you want to use the pool or hot tub you have to walk through the large lobby in your suit to get to it, so we unfortunately chose not to for that reason (busy resort with a lot of people and children in the large lobby area/restaurant). The in-room amenities need an upgrade. If you want to watch tv at any point, good luck. Impossible to navigate, no movie options to choose from, overall this was akin to an inexpensive hotel stay, not a high end resort. Overall it’s worth every penny if you are able to use all of the perks of the resort. If not, it’s just a pretty place to sleep.

Breakfast were good and varied. Scrambled eggs and fruit salad were available everyday along with cereals. They were accompanied by sausage, turkey bacon, French toast, mini spinach quiches, sausage gravy and biscuits. We enjoyed it. Hotel was clean and quiet, door key worked every time, air conditioner and heater in the room worked, bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.
