1st time staying here and I would definitely come back again

AC did not cool efficiently. Did not eat in the cafe.

A winter stay didn't allow for seeing all the benefits of the location, but it seemed like a good spot for metro and highway access. The building is dated but clean. The unit was clean and functional. The kitchen was fine and well appointed with all of the expected necessities. The bathrooms are in need of updating. Some water damage is evident. And one shower head did not work at all, but I'm sure it will be resolved. The living areas were clean. A true coffee table would be better to have than the little table that was there. Parking is good at $20 per day. When you first get there and you are parking in the garage, make your immediate left to enter the garage. This is before you get to the front enhance. Drive all the way to the end of the garage level one. Look right and you will see the next lower level. Turn down there and you can park in the 2nd level. There are elevators that take you to the ground floor to get your keys. It's a bit confusing initially.

If you're looking at this hotel, go ahead and book it! Not only is it luxurious and friendly, but you'll find at least 5 taxis by it at any time (a definite plus when certain Metro lines are being repaired). Added bonus: the signature house fragrance is unspeakably delicious. You will love your stay here!

The Ritz Carlton DC is a wonderful hotel where they pay attention to detail. Being greeted with champagne and personal service had me charmed. I loved the evening turn down service.

I have been disappointed with my past several hotel stays at various other "luxury" properties (think Ritz Carlton, Bellagio, Aria). The properties/rooms werent properly upkept, and I was left feeling uncomfortable with the level of cleanliness. From the moment I walked into this property, I was impressed. Everything was above par - the scent, decor, cleanliness, staff. Trey at the front desk provided exemplary service. So much so that my 17 y.o even commented. I consider myself a harsh critic on cleanliness (I travel with cleaning supplies, wear shower shoes, pull back bedding, check bed bases, and furniture, even at 5 star plus establishments), and this room was clean and well appointed. My son used the fitness facility and he was pleased and commented on the variety of equipment. It was a turnaround trip, so I wasnt able to utilize the other amenities, but I did pass by the spa, and it looked very appealing. The self parking is a bit expensive for a public parking lot ($64/day, but no in and outs. So you pay every time you take your car out), but they do offer valet which is typically priced for luxury properties ($75). I am definitely staying here again when I return, and I highly recommend it!

The hotel was nice, very friendly and helpful staff. The bed was comfortable and the a/c in the room worked really well. My only complaint is that you can very easily hear neighbors, definitely recommend a sound machine for sleeping (which they offer for free if you need).
