Beautiful property friendly staff

Our stay was overall pleasant, but fell slightly short of expectations. We had booked an “ocean view” room anticipating a direct view of the ocean, however our room overlooked the pool and hot tub area instead. It was only upon arrival that we learned that “front ocean view” rooms are the ones that truly guarantee an ocean-facing perspective, which felt somewhat misleading at the time of booking. The bed was comfortable enough, though not particularly memorable, and while we didn’t have the opportunity to try the on-site dining, the beach itself was nice, though fairly standard. All in all, a decent stay, but I would recommend paying close attention to room categories to avoid any disappointment.

Beautiful resort that is in need of a refresh. Rooms were clean but dated. Pool area very comfortable and no trouble finding chairs. Especially liked the adult pool with its own bar. Breakfast package was worth it. Great meal at Tide Pools. Would stay there again but please do a refurbish.

The pool was very nice

While I liked the overall property, I was not satisfied with the service and the attitude of couple of wait staff. This put me off. We are vacationing and wait staff to be rude soils the entire mood. While not all of them were that way but I really wish people are considerate and given that we paid inclusive of tip.

All around a very nice place, lots of families with young children, the staff was great, the food was always good. We did a wedding there because my son the groom had visited this place at lest 3 times prior to this visit and all the family had a good time and the wedding went on without a glitch and I'm sure the wedding couple will attend her again in the future.

We loved the lovely view from our room and the friendly and informative staff. The wild roosters and peacocks were noisy in the mornings but we found it more amusing than annoying. The continental breakfast was simple: fresh fruit, bagels, muffins, croissants, cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea and the like. One hazard was the aggressive chickens stealing food from the outdoor tables; we found that it was best to have no empty chairs near the table for them to use to get on the table. This older-style hotel was a good base for exploring Kaua'i. Beach towels, chairs and umbrellas can be checked out, although there really wasn't a beach easily accessible from the hotel (twenty-five minute walk and hard to find). Overall, we wished that we had stayed longer!

Great place for a family. Nice pool, good location, great staff and food trucks are a sweet perk to make life easy. If you’re up for walking a mile the beach is right there. My wife has one complaint. The bullfrog was super loud at 3:00 am every morning…so plan for that.
