North London Honeymoon Vacations

We had a wonderful stay at the Leonardo Hotel London City while celebrating my mother-in-law’s birthday. The hotel’s location is very convenient, making it easy for us to get around London and enjoy the nearby attractions. Despite the scorching heat outside, the hotel was very comfortable because of the air conditioning. When we first arrived, the AC in our room was not working properly, but the maintenance team fixed it promptly, which we really appreciated. We would also like to commend the breakfast staff, especially Mr. Arnel, who was incredibly helpful, cheerful, and welcoming every morning. His positive attitude made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, we truly enjoyed our experience and felt well taken care of throughout our visit. We will definitely come back the next time we are in London!

Best hotel in London

The Four Seasons Park Lane offers the high-end polish the brand is known for, but it missed several marks for such a premium price. While clearly a 5-star property, it fell short of the meticulous perfection usually associated with the name. Room Design & Amenities Renovated rooms are sleek but impractical. The closet is small and doorless, and the bathroom and closet share a single light switch—a midnight bathroom trip illuminates the dressing area and wakes your partner. Also, there is no proper swimming pool, only a spa vitality pool, which is a letdown for a flagship Four Seasons. Dining & Service Breakfast is strictly a la carte and was consistently slow with multiple order errors. More surprising was the afternoon tea service; I expected the sweets to be a courtesy, but pastries were awkwardly displayed with price tags. This is a basic amenity even 4-star hotels often provide for free. Marathon Experience The biggest stressor was a communication breakdown on marathon morning. Despite pre-confirming a breakfast bag, I was told on race day they were only for "official groups." While a manager eventually resolved it and sent a post-race treat, the initial stress was the worst marathon-day hotel experience I've had in years. Verdict This is a high-caliber 5-star hotel, but the design quirks and service gaps make the high cost hard to justify. It offers signature luxury but lacks the effortless perfection that defines the brand.

Best hotel in London

We stayed here last year and absolutely loved it and the service was excellent. I have to say it wasn’t quite the same this time. Breakfast was quite chaotic. The buffet was not being replenished and there were people waiting over 5 minutes by the coffee to get the filter jug refilled. We had the cooked breakfast and when we came last year toast was served with it. We waited a while and no toast came. I tried to get the attention of a waiter but in fairness they were all busy. As we were near the serving hatch when a waiter came I went up to ask. I waited a while longer and still no toast so had to go up again but by that time the rest of the breakfast had gone cold. I noticed lots of people going up to the waiters asking for things so I assumed they were also waiting for something. I noticed before we came last year there were lots of negative reviews about breakfast but we had very good service but not what you would expect this time. We also missed Mohammed on reception. Not sure if he still works there but he was a great asset to the hotel and was extremely welcoming.

Staff was both pleasant and helpful. Iconic building in an iconic location. Best Sofitel we have stayed in and they have all been excellent.

Nice location. Spacious room. Nice executive lounge.

We only stayed for one night as we were attending the Chelsea Flower Show…the staff on arrival were very helpful and kept our case safe whilst we attended the show, on our return this had been placed in our room. Room was very nice, clean and with a lovely bathroom, there was a kettle with teabags, coffee etc, just one packet of biscuits. There was some renovation work still going on which impacted on the use of the terrace which was a real shame as the courtyard was a lovely space, very pretty at night. We did eat in the restaurant, the food was good, not anything special, but hot and fresh and the waiter was very polite. Breakfast was busy we did have to wait for a table but not very long, there was a great selection, hot and cold foods and plenty to choose from. Overall I would 100% return for a visit and highly recommend, thank you to all the staff for their service.
