Europe Gay friendly Vacations

Great spot.

Fittings and fixtures were tired and felt a little cheap. For example the curtains had holes in them and there were multiple cracks and chips in the bathroom tiles. There was quite a lot of dirt under the fridge. The bed was squeaky and not very comfortable and the toiletries felt very low quality.

I stayed as a solo LGBT traveller and would recommend Axel Hotel Berlin, though there’s room for improvement. The location is excellent, and the front desk staff were very friendly. My Junior Suite was a great size and very quiet thanks to its end-of-corridor location. However, I’d skip the breakfast—it fell short compared to my experience at Axel Hotel Valencia. Additionally, both the sauna and steam room weren't working during my stay. Overall, it was still a positive stay and I would return, but fixing the facilities would make it much better.

Reid’s Palace was just wonderful on a magical island.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Axel Barcelona. Staff were charming and very helpful. The room was fabulous. My only disappointment was that I left a plug in nightlight in the bathroom and the staff say they never found it - I offered to pay postage for it to be returned to me. It is impossible for it not to have been found.

Wonderful location with amazing staff. Room is smallish but fits a queen bed and the bathroom is huge. Breakfast included and we were very comfortable during our 3 night stay. Definitely would stay here again.

It was nice for a one night stay.
