Santa Rosa Island Fishing Vacations

Some of the staff was helpful and courteous. The hotel was clean and pool attendant was nice and helpful. Maurice at the front desk was polit and helpful. The Windrose staff was not as polite nor helpful. Overall the stay was comfortable.

Relaxing property — room was outdated

I was disappointed as I was looking for a resort experience but was underwhelmed. Our first night we were excited to eat at the onsight restaurant. No joke, everthing I tried to order was "not available." 6 tries in and i chose a ceasar salad that was mediocre. There was no pool side drinks unless you walked over to the bar. The bar primarily had tequila. The waterfall bar was never open. The hot tub was so strongly chlorinated that we couldn't stay in long. There were people playing their own music over top of the pool area music. Towels were only available in one area during limited times. There were 2 food trucks but only 1 was open during the day. There were no towels for use at the beach despite this being a beachside hotel. The room ac was cool but super noisy. The walls are paper thin and I learned way too much about how much one person hates their child and the other guests morning vomiting routine. The bathroom itself is very small. The location to the construction makes it very difficult to get back to the resort if you leave. It took us 45 min to 1.5 miles. We left more than we planned to due to the lack of food choices.
