Pros: We loved the pool and hotel proximity to Charleston. The shuttle service to downtown Charleston was wonderful! Cons: We were disappointed with the shower in our room-water from the shower had damaged the walls in the room. The walls in the bathroom had mold and the paint was peeling. It was not modified for accessibility very well.

We have reached out to the staff numerous times without a response, which is why I’m writing this review . I have never written a review like this and I have traveled a lot. There are signs posted quiet time is 10pm, we had no idea the upstairs turns into a nightclub at night the line was down the street and no access to elevator due to the crowds. Elevator, noises up and down during the night. We don’t mind spending money for luxury at all but this plus nothing else included. The coffee and tea, brown fruit with granola bars for breakfast. It was not the luxury vibe we paid for and or experienced. For those looking for a luxurious experience I’d look elsewhere.

Our first visit to Charleston was made even more special by our stay at The Restoration. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s genuine hospitality made all the difference. A special thank you to LaSharra at the front desk and Matt, the guest curator. They were welcoming and inviting, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Traveling with our baby daughter, we especially appreciated having a crib ready for her in our room and all the thoughtful touches that made our stay comfortable and easy like the breakfast basket each morning. We even had an issue with our rental car and they handled that so professionally. The accommodations were clean, spacious, beautiful, and felt like the perfect place to relax after exploring the city. And the location couldn’t be better! Being right in the heart of Charleston made it easy to walk to shops, restaurants, the water, and so many of the city’s activities. The Restoration was the perfect introduction to Charleston, and we will definitely be back!

Place was great! Quiet and clean, staff was accommodating and helpful. Breakfast and happy hour were a nice bonus too. Convenient location to beaches and downtown area.

We waited 20 minutes to check out and were completely ignored. They then sent us a bill including parking and other amenities when we had fully prepaid the reservation AND HAD NO CAR. Watch you bill - they ignore you so they can scam you afterwards. Such a shame as the check-in was great. Check out was terrible.
