We arrived just before 3pm and only rooms on the 5th floor were ready, so we could take that or wait (reception is on the 4th floor and rooms go up from there, maybe to the 15th??). We had a baby with us and did not want to wait, so we discovered the view on the 5th floor is a retaining wall about 10 ft from your windows, so even though we were on the Potomac side the view was blocked. The big advantage was the 4 min walk to the Roslyn Metro station, so getting around DC and even back to the airport is super convenient. The baby loved the clean carpeted floor, the gym was well equipped and pleasant, but we didn’t use much else, including breakfast since Bethesda Bagels across the street was superb.

It would be very helpful to have a convenient way to get beverages to take to your room. It is a huge pain to go to the desk and wait for them to get drinks or for room service.

Clean rooms, helpful staff and walking distance to ballpark. No breakfast available.

Very comfortable

The building itself is gorgeous. The cafe and the cafe staff as well as the doormen are very friendly and respectful. The check- in people: cold, detached, bordering on unprofessional. Did not feel Welcome. Even though I’ve been a repeat guest at Riggs l will not return. I like feeling welcomed and appreciated for being a supporter and an important part in the ecosystem. Hotel Riggs is not it. (Also, after the fact item: hotels.com let me know last night that as a VIP apparently I was supposed to be given the option of a free room upgrade, which never happened). Very disappointed. Will not go back.

It was a truly wonderful experience. The hotel was exceptional and the area has plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops to walk around and experience. Thank you!

Great location and nice spacious room - A/C was out third night with no notification from staff and the water station did not work on our floor.. unacceptable in the extreme heat. Housekeeping did not do a great job.

This hotel is pretty well located and maintained, however, the check-in staff mentioned that breakfast was included when I checked-in. The next morning we go to breakfast and told about the offerings, then a second staff member comes after we start grabbing food demanding for vouchers. Since we were also asked to pay nearly $70 at check-in after prepaying the room, we weren't clear what she's talking about, no manager was available, and we just left breakfast. This also happened to another guest who was at breakfast at the same time. After asking what the $70 charge was about, the front desk said it's for Wi-Fi and other "amenities" offered by the hotel. Given that we got no housekeeping the next day or other "amenties" this charge seems rather criminal.

Overall it was a good stay the room was clean.The staff was good in the beginning but at checkout the women working the front desk was rude and acted as if she didn’t want to be ask questions about the shuttles. And there was a problem with the printer I assume because I never received my receipt and she said she would email it .

We had the pleasure of staying at the Phoenix DC. We really enjoyed our visit; hotel has outstanding food. The room and door attendants were very friendly and helpful. They have a little mini coffee station open 24/7 and deliver bottled water to your room daily. Location is outstanding, very close to Union Station for transportation needs, the U.S. Capital is on the same street.

The staff are very friendly. It’s very clean and the location is great.
