Lundy Cheap Vacations

Great location, but some room for improvement Great location, just a stone’s throw from the main beach in Torquay. The flat had all the amenities we needed for cooking, which was a plus. Unfortunately, there were a few things that let the stay down. The dining table only seats two people, despite the flat accommodating four. This meant our children had to sit at the table while we ate standing at the kitchen counter. Although the toilet looked clean, there was a noticeable smell of urine. The sofa bed mattress has also definitely seen better days — you can feel every spring, making it quite uncomfortable to sleep on. Overall, the location was excellent, but the dining arrangements, smell in the bathroom and uncomfortable sofa bed could really do with some attention.

From the moment we booked I knew we were going to be in for a treat. And it didnt disappoint , from arrival we were treated like old friends. The attention to detail, just joyful. The room was so comfortable it had everything and more that we could wish for and need. Honestly just beautiful, we instantly felt at home. Lots of personal touches , home made cakes, help yourself to snacks, fresh fruit etc. Im not going to list everything as that would spoil it for you. But needless to say you feel very relaxed and special. Breakfast was served and it was excellent so much choice too. Really set you up for the day ahead. Both of the hosts were so informative about the area too offering suggestions to guests etc. Its a real gem and we really will return to stay. From start to finish a fabulous stay at the Tyndale. Keep doing what you are doing guys you are so good at it x x Thank you for making our weekend so very special. As we left to attend a family wedding we were given a snack box to keep us going until the wedding breakfast later on in the day. Again what a thoughtful kind thing to do! X x x the cake was delicious and fresh fruit too, simply perfect. Thank you.

Jo and Steve were so lovely and welcoming. They made sure we had everything we needed and Jo offered some great ideas of what to do in the area. The room was lovely and clean, and the bed comfortable. We had breakfast each day, and you get to select the night before what you would like and it's all cooked and prepared fresh. Best fried bread we've had! The location is spot on. Just a 5 to 10 min stroll to the sea front or around 20 mins to the harbour. Would recommend and definitely stay again.

Great stay, room was large and clean, bed and pillows extremely comfortable, breakfast was excellent, so much choice and very tasty. Also got a car parking space on site. Hosts were lovely. Nothing to complain about at all🤗

This was a good location with a helpful host. Parking was a bit tight, but we welcomed having parking in such a busy place. An easy walk to the cliff railway, cafes and pubs. The room was quite small and the TV from the next room could be heard in ours. I'm not sure if that is why ear plugs were supplied! Having the lounge/dining area available for our use was useful. The brownie was appreciated.
