Croatian Coast Cheap Vacations

It was nice to have a pool and be a bit away from old town but also have old town only a 4-5 minute bus ride away. The front staff helped us figure out how to get tickets and where to take the bus from. There’s not too much directly around the hotel except a couple of restaurants but there was enough and it is close to an area where a lot of boats pick you up for excursions (I believe it was a 20 minute walk). The gym is nice with new equipment but on the smaller side as have gotten used to for European hotel gyms. Breakfast buffet wasn’t amazing but wasn’t horrible.

For the price, place was nothing special, would’ve rather stayed at another location for 1/2 the price. Some staff were pleasant while others were not. Some staff not helpful at all. Hot tub only warm water, asked the pool guy, he’s said “I don’t know”. They offer pillow options, called front desk 5 min before 10pm and he said housekeeping off at 10, “so just use pillows in your closet”. Elevator on last day not working. Would expect better experience for a higher end hotel.

Just what we needed for a quick stay before boarding our cruise. Close to the port but still not too far from the old city, clean, well appointed. Be advised 'sea/ocean view' is technically right, but it means craning your neck around to the right to see it :) Staff was super helpful, and breakfast was tasty!

The hotel Kompass is located in a beautiful spot by the sea yet close enough to the old town that you can go there in 10mn. The staff was very helpful , always smiling and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were all taken care off. A special mention to Martina at breakfast thanks to whom we always started our days with a big smile. The pool was clean with enough chairs for everyone. Lots of restaurants at a walking distance. The view was amazing from the balcony. We really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent stay as always! As with alot of hotels I cannot understand why they have the Mini bar prices so high that very few people will use them! Reduce your "mark up" and you will be providing a service for your clients and also sell more. £4 for a Kit Kat, I think not!
