We enjoyed Donna Carmela so much we extended our stay by 2 days. All staff were gracious and helpful. We loved the sumptuous breakfast, gourmet restaurant for dinner, as well as the lounge and pool bars. After a day of sightseeing around Mt Etna and Taormina, we came back to the oasis of this lovely resort.

Hotel had everything we needed. Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Short walk to the town for a good selection of restaurants in the evenings. Good breakfast selection at the hotel in the morning.

Beautiful balcony with garden view and we could also see Castelmola! Configuration of the room wasn't the greatest. There was no space to put our second luggage but we made it work. Shower had neon florescent lighting which was different. Also, didn't really care for the shower curtain, for an upscale hotel would think there would be a glass shower door. Loved the location, walk down the stairs and you arrive at the Duomo!
