Beautiful place, nice view everywhere and to walk in Fira is amazing

This was the best hotel we have ever stayed at. Our honeymoon was that much more special because of the staff and their thoughtfulness.

The rooms and the staff were absolutely amazing. If you travel as a young family with infants, this is the place to go for you. I was not prepared for the amount of small children in this resort. It was not advertised as such. The amount of crying children in the dining room was overwhelming at times. The food choices were plenty, however the quality of the food was poor, which mainly resulted in my low rating for this property. For example, you were not served orange juice, but orange taste… Whatever that means. The hotel bar closed at 11 PM which is probably also a sign that this resort is targeted for younger families and not adult vacationers. The beach was easily accessible by foot in less than five minutes, and there is a public bus driving to Chania, which we took advantage of quite often. There are plenty of other restaurants in walking distance if you want to pivot from your all inclusive package to the amazing Greek food otherwise available on the island.

Outstanding place to stay on the Caldera cliffs of Fira. The location is central and very convenient, close to the beginning of the Fira to Oia Cliff walk. We easily got to the restaurants, nightlife, and shopping, and also to Fira town square. We had a beautiful sitting area with our own plunge pool overlooking the cliffs. We were served breakfast there every day. It felt so indulgent to have our own space overlooking the ocean while could see tourists from afar angling to get views, especially at sunset. Our villa (Traviata) was spectacular. It was a cave house with a living room, dining area complete with refrigerator and minibar, a separate bedroom, two bathrooms and two showers, and our own indoor plunge pool jacuzzi. Stacy, the manager, was wonderful. She was knowledgeable and helpful. She organized transfers and gave us advice on what to do and see. All of our requests and questions were taken care of. She is fantastic! We enjoyed seeing Bacho and Sosa everyday. They brought us breakfast, helped with out hot tub, and helped carry our luggage up and down the path to the main road. I highly recommend staying here. There’s nothing like waking up with a Caldera view or seeing the sunset everyday from your private vantage point. It truly made our trip unique.

One of the best resorts in Crete. The location and private beach are absolutely stunning. The resort offers excellent facilities, and there’s also plenty to explore in the surrounding area. This was my second stay at Daios Cove, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. I already can’t wait to go back!

We booked our stay months in advance of our trip. Yet when we arrived at 11pm at night (my wife, I, 2 children and the Mother In Law we were told the room wasn’t ready(?!) and they would have to put another bed in a different room so we could all fit in. That led to a half hour delay (not welcome at that time of night with young children) and worse still we would have to move rooms the next day…hotel is good for a city centre location, but that really poor start left a bad taste in the mouth….
