Excellent hotel. I plan to return. I recommend it! The quality of the building is very good. The room we had (junior suite) was well laid out. The bathroom was very nice. Only downside was that it did not have a bathtub; it was a shower only. But it was a nice shower. There is a hot tub and sauna that is bookable. We did that and enjoyed it. The staff are very professional and nice. They speak fluent English. In particular, I want to give recognition to the hard working Diana in the restaurant. The breakfasts every day were very helpful. Plenty of options. We always ate a big breakfast to fuel our long days of Croatia exploration. There is a rooftop cafe! The only downside of this hotel is its location. It is fine and I have no problem with it. However, it is not "walkable" for some people. For me, no problem. We walked to Diocletian's Palace in about 20 -- 25 minutes. There are two short turns and then a main street takes you directly to the old part of the city. The advantage of the hotel location is also that it's easy to take a car into town or out of town. It's a ~$10 Uber ride to the ferry or Palace. It's also easy to get onto the road and towards places outside of Split, like the Fortress or onwards to Trogir, etc. Overall, I actually think the location is decent. One side of the hotel faces a busy road, so perhaps choose the other side if that's an issue for you. We faced the road but found it to be quiet at night. Overall, this was a very positive experience!

When we arrived we had some payment issues with the taxi. The kind man at the front desk personally walked me to an ATM and when that ATM didn’t work he walked me to another one. Then walked us back to hotel and rolling our bags with him. He was as very gracious and we appreciated his help very much. The room and the restaurant were both wonderful too. This place is just outside the old city walls and easy to walk to everything. I highly recommend this hotel.

I really liked our stay at the Townhouse. It was good for our family of 5! Very clean and spacious! Their apartment/triple is located on the third story with a very narrow staircase to get up/down. But I guess this is to be expected in Europe. Inside the loft is nestled on the second floor of the apartment. Good for adults. I would strongly discourage for toddlers as the stairs inside the unit are extremely steep. My 5 yo had a ball running up/down without incident though. My husband did take a spill. Luckily it was going up! I would stay here again! It was within walking distance to a plethora or eateries, bars/coffee shops, castle, and places to purchase excursions. The property is tucked away in a row of homes and the people surrounding seemed nice.

The hotel itself was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The view from our balcony room was stunning, and the room itself was very nice. However a few things came to us as a surprise during our stay and were frusrating. First, i did not get the room i booked through expedia. I booked a 1 king+sofa bed, and they gave a room with only 1 king bed, saying the sofa bed are reserved for parties of 3 or more. This rule was never stated anywhere, and i booked a room with a sofa bed. As well my mom came with me on this trip, only my name was on the reservation, and they said they charge an extra 25euros per night per extra guest. That seemed ridiculous, thankfully the staff were kind enough to waive this fee. As well, the AC in our room was broken the first 2 nights, but was fixed. We have 4 keycards die on us through the trip and constantly had to be going to the desk to re issue our key cards. The hotel is a 15-20 minute walk to old town split, and the hotel itself is on a hill. There are no dining options close by. We wanted to order from the pool menu one night, only to be told the pool menu closes at 6pm, this was not posted anywhere, so with no dining options nearby we had to eat from the hotel buffett which was 35euro p/p for standard, limited option food. We also wanted to go for a night swim, only to be told the pool closes at 7pm, which is also not posted anywhere. There were just lots of ruled we were for informed about, but the hotel staff was very friendly and accommodatin

Lovely hotel right on the beach

I stayed in one of several ground floor (actually semi-basement) rooms that opened directly off the relatively quiet street. Noise was a major issue. This was for three reasons: (1) a window facing street and hidden outside by shutters and inside by curtains behind desk was left ajar. Closing it required moving desk, and a shorter person would have needed to stand on a chair. (2) Noise travelled from floor above easily - everything from footsteps to phone conversation was audible at 2am. (3) During heavy rain, the gutters somehow ran internally above the bathroom ceiling creating an echo chamber of dripping water noises! The front desk was not open for all of the advertised hours. I only stayed because I got three nights for price of two and location was conveniently close to the old town but not on busiest strips.
