Big Talbot Island State Park Adventure Vacations

The front desk staff were nice and helpful. That was about the highlight of the hotel though. The rooms on the 7th floor are in desperate need of updating. The carpet is yuck- stained and dirty looking- we would not walk bare foot in our room. The bathroom vanity and cubby holes were extremely worn, the doorframes & wall were in need of patching and new paint (some rust showing through). The cookies that we look forward to at check-in were not fresh or tasty as usual. This was not a Hilton or Doubletree standard, and I have stayed at many of them. This hotel seems to be running off of name, location and Ruth Chris Steakhouse being onsite. Spend some money to update and clean it up, Hilton/Doubletree.

The place was clean and well furnished. This was my first time booking an apartment instead of a hotel, and I loved having access to a kitchen that was fully stocked with cookware and utensils. My one complaint is that there seemed to be frequent events going on nearby that caused parking to disappear on the weekends, since I didn’t pay for a parking spot.

The front desk staff was attentive and helpful, but unfortunately I wouldn’t stay here again. Both rooms we were given had cleanliness issues, including crumbs in the kitchen, debris on the floors, and hair in the shower. The walls are also very thin, and you can hear conversations from the next room and every footstep from above.
