Lovely location! The owner is very friendly and made you feel very welcome. The room had everything we needed and it was well maintained. Breakfast was good, and offered something for everyone.

We, three tall and burly gents were looking forward to our two night stay at Sligo and Éalú Lodge as I had booked the FOUR bed room 7 months ago. However our stay was severely impacted by the owner of this establishment reassigning us to a cheaper room with three beds which meant that two of us had to share the lower double bed and the other had the ‘luxury’ of sleeping by himself on the top bunk. Never mind that I’d booked and paid for this FOUR bed room SEVEN months ahead of time and there was no offer of a refund or compensation for our inconvenience. In fact I was told that because I’d only booked for two adults, the owner should charge me more than I’d already paid…for a lesser standard room. If I’ve already paid for a four bed room, what does it matter if three are sharing it? The addition of a fully equipped community kitchen was a bonus, however the fridge was full of food of varying expiry dates and the kitchen rubbish/recycling bins were completely full whilst we were staying there.
