Beautiful property! Well maintained. Great Pool. Great gardens. Nice rooms. Great Staff. All Around nice time.

We have just had a 3 night stay at the Hotel and it was lovely. When we arrived the reception staff were very friendly and gave us a brief tour, when our room was ready we were again escorted there by a member of reception. The room was a great size with a small patio area overlooking the lush gardens. We had dinner in the restauarant on our first night, which was excellent, service was impeccable. We used the bar a couple of times, loving the idea that we got to choose our "Happy Hour", we also ate in the Bar on 2 occasions and again the food was excellent. Breakfast was very good with a great slection of food.The Hotel is very traditional and has a lot of character, we will hopefully return one day and would recommend to anyone who would like to be within 15 mins of the centre of Funchal but still stay in a "little oasis".

Lovely hotel, good location. Only negative was we didn’t find the bed overly comfortable but aside from that facilities etc were excellent.

Brilliant Hotel with Great Service We stayed at the Hotel Britania Art Deco in Lisbon for two nights in September 2026, and it really was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in for service. We arrived very early after getting off a cruise ship and had intended to simply leave our luggage at the hotel before checking in later that day. However, the staff went above and beyond and insisted on arranging a room for us straight away. They even offered us breakfast and coffee on the house while we waited, and we were then given a room upgrade — such a lovely welcome! Breakfast is served throughout the morning, which is great as there’s no need to rush down before they stop serving. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and on our last day they kindly looked after our valuables, including our passports, so we could continue sightseeing without having to worry about them. The location is also fantastic and really central to everything, making it an ideal base for exploring Lisbon. We would highly recommend this brilliant hotel and would definitely stay here again!
