Inchcolm Adventure Vacations

We stayed for 2 nights in this apartment hotel. We had our 2 year old with us, and this was a fantastic stay for a few reasons. 1. The team is highly communicative and amenable to requests. Originally they had given us a baby cot, but my toddler has outgrown it - so they were gracious enough to give us an extra bed, with no extra charge. They accommodated an early check-in to make us comfortable. 2. The room while small, was exceptionally well designed. Even with a pull-out bed, a sofa, a small dining table - we never felt cramped. The furnishings were modern and high quality, and having a small kitchenette in the room was helpful. 3. The location is amazing - a short walk from the Royal Mile, and on a street that was quiet at night. They have rooms that face the castle - though they were sold out of those during our stay. 4. Finally, it's the small things that make a good stay great. They left a super cute soft-toy for my toddler on our departure date, which he absolutely loved. One small downside - you have to take a staircase with about 20 steps to get to the rooms. There are no elevators to carry your suitcases. This wasn't a big issue for us, but if you are mobility impaired, it could be a challenge.

I was grateful for the helpful staff. There is a bus stop in front of the main entrance. This makes traveling via public transportation easy. However, I did not appreciate all the people that would block the entrance to the hotel as they wait for their bus. The grout in the shower and upholstery on the coach could have been better cleaned.

Difficult to find in the dark even with satnav. There is lighting near the sign but the opening to the car park is difficult to find. Good amount of parking although not enough for every room. Didn't have breakfast here as there were cheaper options within a 10 minute walk. Room was smaller than looked on photos when booking and apart from some dust behind the nightstands was clean. Bed linen was nice and soft but the all season duvet was a bit too much for summer. Couldn't have window open as was on ground floor and was a little difficult to open the sash window too. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate provided. Shampoo, conditioner and hand wash. Staff were nice. There was a lounge and bar fridge available alongside extra refreshment supplies. Two bottles of water supplied in room. Noise was minimal so got a good night sleep. Easy to drive around Edinburgh and the local region from here.

The location was perfect. Right in the middle of Old Town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return without reservation.

Fabulous stay. Very comfortable room. Helpful staff and excellent breakfast. Ideal for Leith and easy access to Edinburgh and airport via tram.

Incredible stay. Staff were excellent and the hotel is immaculate. Will return down the road.

Parking is awful, we were lucky we got a space round the corner. It was a great location for our event at murrayfield but the sofa bed isnt an actual bed. Luckily we took our inflatable double bed but had to go to shop and get sheets and duvet cover for it. Fine for one night and a few hours sleep

Lovely clean room, spacious, lovely bathroom. Great location would 100% recommend.
